This Great Value Penne with Chicken is a simple and satisfying meal solution. The delicious pasta dish pairs tender cooked penne with filling chicken and flavourful parmesan cheese and garlic. The meal has a rich and mild flavour that both kids and adults can enjoy. Great for a quick weekday lunch or dinner, this frozen pasta with chicken can be prepared in the microwave or a conventional oven in as little as 5 minutes. To heat the penne pasta with chicken in a 1200-watt microwave, lift the corner of the plastic film and then microwave on high for 2 1/2 minutes. Open the lid, stir the pasta and sauce, re-cover, and cook for an additional 1 to 1 ½ minutes. To prepare it in a conventional oven, lift the corner of the film and preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the tray on a baking sheet and cook on the middle rack for 20 minutes. Stir the contents, re-cover the tray and cook for an additional 10 minutes. See full details on packaging. The Ingredient Wise symbol appears on products made without these ingredients: synthetic colours, artificial flavours and sweeteners, hydrogenated vegetable oil, monosodium glutamate.

I have been using these great value pasta meals for years for my son's school lunches. They heat up quickly in the microwave and they stay warm in his thermos. They are the perfect size to fit in his small lunch thermos and they make great school lunch. Adding a little pesto to it before I put it in the thermos elevates the flavor.

Lunch convenience

I thought I would give this try and boy it was good

Nice little snack

I see that most reviewers didn't like this much, I tried it anyway and found it not to be too bad. There aren't a lot of chicken chunks though, but I found the flavour to be good for what it is. Great when you top it with parmesan and some extra salt & pepper, or even add some cooked veggies. It's filling so that's a plus.

Not bad!

Great Value Penne with Chicken, OK, little to little it should be bigger size for that price, fairly good with taste, mid temperature on stove otherwise may stick to frying pan and some little of oil, I add coconut oil because it can withstand higher temperature.

Great Value Penne with Chicken

Very small portion for a whole meal (250 calories), LOTS of salt. Very very little sauce. However, it's edible (not amazing but doesn't taste bad either), the chicken is actually surprisingly okay for being frozen cheap chicken, and I added some mozza cheese I had in the fridge and stirred in some milk and it was - well, I'm tired as heck, I'm broke as heck, so what this meal was, was food. For the price, it's fine even needing to add a bit of your own ingredients.

It's edible

For the price I knew it wasn't going to be anything amazing but they have ones that are great. This was subpar at best. Little to no sauce and very dry. Still good for the price, but they have better meals than this one.

It's okay

Very bad; very bland and next to nothing fir sauce in any of these frozen pastas; I threw these in the garbage as well. Such a waste of hard earned money

Do Not Buy- very bland

[Employee of walmartcanada] Tasted pretty bland. Not the best sauce

I have bought thse in the past and always good. Last few I bought... horrible. zero chicken, tasteless sauce. I mean not even one piece of the pre formed "chicken" that is normally there. I am not sure if they changed manufacturers but they so need to look at quality control. You do get what you pay for; but since in the past always was good not sure what is going on. All have the same info on package. BB/MA 2023 JL 25 EST # 305

Going down hill

[Employee of walmartcanada] Worst product I've ever purchased, hard to find any pieces of chicken

Missing the chicken!

Great Value Penne with Chicken, 215 g frozen microwaveable meal showing a tray of cooked penne pasta with bite-size cooked chicken, grated parmesan and garlic-seasoned sauce; oven-preparable, made in Canada, suitable as a quick weekday lunch or a base for adding vegetables.
