This is delicious vanilla and so reasonably priced. I have always relied on the quality and competitive pricing of Great Value products. This vanilla is a great example. Don't hesitate to try it.

Great tasting vanilla

All the one star reviews saying it's terrible and taste like alcohol used the vanilla extract in a drink. What do you expect? Vanilla extract is basically vanilla beans (dry) drowned in alcohol to extract the flavor out.... You want a fancy vanilla extract, make your own with whatever alcohol flavor you like - problem solved.

If you are looking to add vanilla flavor to baked goods and the like, this is amazing, no nasty taste like others reviews have stated. If you are looking to add vanilla into a hot drink or something that doesn't involved cooking this is not for you.

"Good"

I thought the taste was good and appreciated that it comes in a bigger bottle than most but was very disappointed and grossed out when I was using it and little white plastic pieces fell out of the bottle and into the food I was making. I probably won't repurchase it after that experience.

Smells like alcohol, you need the whole bottle for anything to taste just a tiny bit like vanilla. Even then you can't even taste it. Waste of $12. Whatta joke

Side by side taste test proved to me that the reviewers who state it tastes like pure alcohol were correct and the person who said vanilla is supposed to taste like this was incorrect. Do the taste test yourself (two different generic brands) and you'll see for yourself. I'm usually really pleased with Walmart so I'm surprised they sell such a poor quality product.

I wish I read the ingredients before buying. This is completely watered down and has a very artificial chemical taste to it. In the end you don't save money because you need to use double the amount for any vanilla flavour. Stick with reputable, expensive extract so at least you know what you're getting.

don't bother

This vanilla extract has a chemical taste that spoiled my recipes.  It tastes and smells like alcohol mixed with cheap perfume and baby powder.  I dumped it down the drain because it is so overwhelming in recipes. Ive tried other artificial vanilla extracts and they actually were good.  This brand is like air freshener and extremely "artificial" tasting.

I made a mistake and bought this cheap vanilla extract , not worth your money, it has an after taste  like medicine. It ruined my cake, don't buy it, spend $3 more and get quality vanilla extract
