never tried  it  before  seeing it  here  a  couple years  ago.  LOVE  this  stuff.  its  like  a malt  vinegar  with  soya  sauce and a wee  bit of  sugar   added  to it.super  fine  on  French  fries and onion  rings  .you  can use  it  anywhere  youd  use a  malt vinegar.nice  for dipping  . ive been looking  for  more  ways  to use  vinegar  since stumbling upon  this delicious stuff  man  .i totally  recommend  it  .it adds a  little  umphh  to  any  sauce  that  uses malt vinegar.

Trying to make braised pork ribs last week and I followed the recipe from my Chinese friend. Adding about two tablespoons of this vinegar to braise and the result is surprisingly amazing. Highly recommended using this vinegar.

This is not real Chinkiang Vinegar, you are buying Great Wall - Vinegar. The picture shows the real Chinkiang Vinegar, but you receive Great Wall Vinegar instead

This is Fake Chinkiang Vinegar

Item is as shown graphically but has "Great Wall Vinegar" written instead of Chinkiang. I have read somewhere "Great Wall" vinegar was sorghum / millet but no this one is glutinous rice based.

I can't stand sodium (230 mg per 20 mL tbs, 554.3 mL / bottle), so I'm not even trying one... of the 15 I bought, and will be giving away.
