We went from the 4th level of hades to Elsa's frozen castle! The cold is actually pretty desirable, It has made life bearable again.  With the timer features as well as the dehumidifier this has made the wet hot canadian summer so much better. It's much larger than my old one but comes with enough padding and extra pieces to fix securely. If you have a left right opening window you will need coverage for above the unit.

Air Conditioner is excellent

Using it in an area with alot of door opening and it keep the offices colds nicelly. Will buy another one for home.

Low noise and very good performance

Bought 2 months ago.  Replaced old 10K.  EER 12.1.  Giving 5 stars to date, to be seen how it goes after a few seasons.  Heat wave of several hot days (greater than 30C) still untested.  Large office top floor apartment hot sun on black roof, 20'x10', high ceiling with 5 big computers and other equipment.  Without A/C office can hit unbearable 40C.  

I have the remote set to 24C in ES mode (energy saving), placed 1 ft from digital readout on A/C front panel (photo).  Setup tracks +/- 1/2 deg.  Room temp stable 1 degree higher than setting, that is 25C at the setting in the photo.  

Two Montreal hot days tested so far (outside 28C, feels like 38C).  That time I set remote to 22C and the power of this A/C really kicked in.  In 2 hours the office was stable to 23C.  Overnight, left office door open and all windows closed.  A/C kept hallway cool and dried out entire (large) 5-1/2 apartment.  Sleeping is very comfortable and dry in bedroom, A/C not even audible unlike whistling of the old unit.  For a 10K, very good.

Motorized horizontal louver slowly fans cool air up/down that you can leave at fixed position with the remote.  Mine blows up at a fixed 45 deg.  Very nice feature for me because I don't feel the cool air moving, except for a gentle pleasant floating breeze.  ES mode well-designed too: intelligent controller is comfort-centric rather than cold-centric.  Will run fan-only when needed to keep comfort level OK.  Air intake and exit separated by a foot.  That speeds cooling & improves efficiency by minimizing room air recirculation.  Internally, this A/C has a 3" space between the external fan and the outside heat exchanger -- clever design because other units like my old one that mount the fan right against the exchanger (to reduce depth) cause the central area of about 5" diameter to recirculate exhaust hot air back on itself!  So nice job there for this Chinese manufacturer.

Accessories assortment excellent.  Fits my large window.  Top cover removes easily for cleaning maintenance.  Notably lighter than my old 10K and easy to install.  Overall, so far, I am impressed.

ONE REQUEST from GREE:  Give us one extra lower fan setting, 30% slower for ultraquiet operation.

Efficient, well-engineered & comfort-centric

This machine is very complete but remains the noise that it makes annoying apart ca ca I am very well and I am satisfied with 75% because of the noise.
