<br><ul><li>CD</li><li>Green Day couldn't have had a blockbuster without Nirvana, but Dookie wound up being nearly as revolutionary as Nevermind, sending a wave of imitators up the charts and setting the tone for the mainstream rock of the mid-'90s. Like Nevermind, this was accidental success, the sound of a promising underground group suddenly hitting its stride just as they got their first professional, big-budget, big-label production. Really, that's where the similarities end, since if Nirvana were indebted to the weirdness of indie rock, Green Day were straight-ahead punk revivalists through and through. They were products of the underground pop scene kept alive by such protagonists as All, yet what they really loved was the original punk, particularly such British punkers as the Jam and Buzzcocks. On their first couple records, they showed promise, but with Dookie, they delivered a record that found Billie Joe Armstrong bursting into full flower as a songwriter, spitting out melodic ravers that could have comfortable sat alongside Singles Going Steady, but infused with an ironic self-loathing popularized by Nirvana, whose clean sound on Nevermind is also emulated here. Where Nirvana had weight, Green Day are deliberately adolescent here, treating nearly everything as joke and having as much fun as snotty punkers should. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was originally going to get danger days by MCR but the shipping went over the budget on my gift card so I got this instead,its one of my favorite albums ever lol.came a week early and it made me super happy :))
It came in excellent condition,no scratches on the disk and no cracks or any sort of damage to the case.

Green Day has produced some great songs over the years and Green Day: Dookie has some great songs. I've had my CD for 5 long years and still listen to it.

Weird Name, But It's Still Good

A blast from the pass, the Thriller of punk rock albums.
Also my first album in disc.

The CD itself is obviously very good :3 But it did come shipped in good condition. It was worth the wait, rather than buying it from a store. They are usually scratched, which I don't usually like. I wish walmart would sell American Idiot though. The shipping could take less time, but it came in good condition. If you like Green Day's other albums you will like this one.

I ordered this on December the 9th, it said 2 day delivery, I received it today the 20th. I unwrapped the brown wrapping carefully because I wanted to make sure not to mess up the names and stickers on the front. I waited until now to unwrap the clear wrappings and I followed the seams when the top of the case fell of and I c ok I'll tell the CD case was broken and it wouldn't open. That's unexceptional has been my 2nd bad experience when it comes to buying CD's from Walmart through this app. I'd like to speak to a representative because I'm extremely unhappy and haven't opened my Blake Shelton CD, if it's broken I'll want to return them and never buy CD'S agaian.
