Build Quality

Users find the pole saw simple to use and maneuver.

I ordered this a few weeks ago and am very impressed with both the hedge trimmer and pole saw functions. It cuts very, very well and is surprisingly efficient at using battery power. Pretty easy to reach what I need to cut, though it can be a little awkward when trying to reach horizontally across a hedge row or similar plants. No recoil at all.

Excellent trimming/cutting tool

greenworkstools.com

Plenty of zip on the chain speed with 80V running a small 10" bar, so the cutting power is excellent. Definitely helped clear out the lower brushy trees, which the biggest thing is it will cut down on the number of trees I need to climb to limb up for fire safety around the house. Less time climbing trees is a win in my book (inverse relationship to 10 year old me).

Solid performance

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) its an excellent product, the descriptions online are not accurate its a 9 ft pole. them claiming it works at 14 feet assumes you holding it up 5 ft. quite deceiving.

9ft pole does a good job

We use it everyday for the small stuff. Works great.

Great equipment

Worked as I hoped it would. Chain oil and charge seemed to last long enough. Cut through even 2-3 inch branches pretty easily. Instruction manual was not very clear and I did a couple things wrong before I was able to figure out the diagrams and instructions.

Worked as Expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great at first but the saw blade did not stay sharp very long. Otherwise it was a good purchase.

Pole Saw

Cuts well, but I wish you could have the option of making the pole shorter by removing the center extension piece, as the saw is quite heavy to handle at its current length.

Cuts well, but on the long and heavy side.

Chain oil is leaking out of the cutting head somewhere when it is off. I will be calling warranty service soon.
The pole saw seems very heavy duty and cuts well.

Oil leaking

GreenWorks Tools

The product arrived obviously “re-packaged” so I immediately expected the worst. And sure enough the charger didn't work. I already have a Greenworks 80v lawnmower, so was able to use the charger from that. With a charged battery the pole saw works as expected.

I reported the problem to Greenworks but have received no reply

80v Pole Saw Kit - Charger didn't work

The center section of the pole can NOT be removed. This means you must always cut with the whole length of the saw. This is awkward and difficult when cutting branches near the ground. The total weight of the saw makes this inability doubly difficult.

The saw is so heavy and clumsy it is near useless.

Greenworks 80V 10" Brushless Pole Saw, 2.0Ah Battery and Charger Included centered front-facing cordless pole saw with 10" bar and 1/4" chain, brushless motor housing, translucent automatic oiler tank, visible push-button start and attached battery on plain background.
