I've got a large lot, 160 acres, and this unit has never let me down.  I have a spare battery because I bought the chainsaw as well so I'm never without power.  I can't discharge a battery faster than the other battery will charge with either tool.
Only down side is I have no excuse to take a break. 
One battery did fail (wouldn't charge) and I was sent a replacement right away

I needed to clear a hillside behind my house of brush. I used this unit with a RYOBI Expand-It 8 in. Brush-Cutter Trimmer Attachment. The combination was perfect. The 80v brushless motor works effortlessly for a long time with even just the 2.0 Ah battery. It's comfortable and easy to use. Highly recommend. I used this unit as a test for the Greenworks 80V system. I've been impressed enough that I've added a chainsaw which also impressed. Now I'm waiting on the inverter (for car camping) and a blower. All use the same battery.

Great entry to the Greenworks world.

I like almost everything about this unit. Works well with my attachments. The only two things I don't care for are that I have a really big yard and I can't trim it all on one charge. If I get a second battery down the road, that won't be a problem. Second, I wish they would design the trigger so that it felt more like a gas trimmer when you pull it instead of having that long delay to get going. You get used to it after a while. Other than that, this thing is super quiet and works great!

Tons of Power

The power and cutting abilities has been equal and maybe even greater than my last gas powered trimmer.  The line that came with the trimmer is super strong and I was able to cut thick weeds.  I'll be investing in attachments such as a hedge trimmer.

It is powerful and cuts really well.  It is a little heavy on the shoulder as the 80 volt battery is substantial.  It does not hold a lot of cutting line and has to be re-filled fairly often if you're cutting heavy grass and weeds.  It charges quickly to full power, 30-40 minutes.

Good value

The trimmer is a solid built.  It would have been a 5 star if they have a lock-down system for the trigger-start after the trimmer started spinning.  Because they don't have this lock-down system.  It is very tiring on the hand constantly holding on the trigger-start while trimming.  It would also been very helpful to list all attachments in the booklet that this trimmer could handle.  But don't have this information.  Left me in the dark, and I had to get the information from else where.

It's pretty well built, well balanced. However it's unusable by all but the casual ocassional use because there is a 3-4 second delay between pressing the throttle and the head spinning full speed. This is a prohibitive setup, and makes efficiency and any semblance of productivity all but impossible. If they would fix that ONE problem I would buy THREE of them. I own the 80V mower and 80V Pro Blower and love both of them.

Maybe the best electric trimmer built but with one fatal flaw
