So GLAD I have made up my mind to go all battery!! This attachment capability works SUPER with my blower and treesaw.. Lighter, eady to use, and lasts plenty of time for me with the 80v battery...HAPPY AS A CLAM!!

WEEDWACKER

I have the corded version and this is so much more convenient to get my whole yard done without having to mess with a cord.  Already had the lawn mower so I figured I'd give this a try.  Can safely say I will be converting all my tools to Greenworks!

Over built & Over Powered!

I waited a few months to add this trimmer to my Greenworks pro 80V system.  My rural property needs a trimmer that can handle heavy brush.  On it's test drive with the supplied string I was able to take out a patch where I wanted to plant fruit trees.  It handled it great.  I need to play with the shoulder strap for the right length (definitely needed).

I love that it works with the same batteries as my snowblower; that saved me a lot of money right off the bat. On top of that, the rebate made it an even better deal. It's very powerful and handles thick grass with no problem. Downsides: 1- Every now and then I have to re-insert the battery because it seems to lose contact, but it's quick to fix. 2- Heavy, but that's to be expected with a large battery. 

Overall, a great buy and I'd definitely recommend it.

Powerful Trimmer, Big Savings

Excellent Trimmer

Capable, quiet tool - battery enters on one side which makes the whole thing want to lean over and a pain to have to keep upright
Annoying because the non-attachment-capable one goes directly in the center-rear and is probably a lot nicer to handle. It's not as though there is a huge range of attachments that makes this worth it - I probably would have chosen the other one if I had known
I use the 5Ah battery which probably doesn't help but why buy another battery when one does my whole yard in both the mower and strimmer?
Love the 80V range btw !

Very capable with a drawback

Pros: Gets the job done!  Well made, powerful and I can share the battery with my Greenworks lawnmover and blower (both of which I love).
Cons: It is quite heavy, if it wasn't for the strap which I wear across my chest, I wouldn't be able to use it for long.  And the other con, the string rolls do not last long.  I have only used it weekly for a month, and already I am looking online for replacement spools.
