I ordered this after hearing about making paninis and I am so happy with it! This is all you ever need. It will go flat to grill, it flips to a flat grill so you can fry eggs or other stuff! I also ordered a set to be able to make waffles, oh my, what a wonderful grill this is with all I can do with it! Amazing, just amazing ! One single machine on my counter that has so many uses! Great little grill

This is my second press from Cuisinart. My first one lasted over 20 years, it still worked but the knobs were in bad shape from wear and tear. I love the new features..i,e, drip tray, push button release for plates and the ability to lay the plates flat.

Love my Griddler

Works perfectly to make panini-pressed sandwiches, however the weight of the upper portion will squish a sandwich with really soft bread so I pre-toast the bread to make it stiffer and then make sandwich and press it.  My new favorite kitchen gadget.

Perfect for making panini-pressed sandwiches

This is the best tool for the kitchen. I got one when I got married, move out of the country 10 years latter and took it with me, 5 years later moved back to USA and was not able to bring it back eve though it worked perfectly, I purchased a new one as soon as I could. I can live without a microwave but not without this.

Best investment for the kitchen

Love, Love, Love this thing! It is so versatile and so easy to clean. We use it primarily for pancakes but we also have the waffle grates which make great waffles. We also do panini's from time to time and having the ability to press your sandwich and how it leaves the press marks is beautiful. This is our second Griddler and we will continue to buy them.

This is the second Cuisinart griddler I've had. The first was a Christmas gift I received many years ago. From the very beginning I loved this griddle. I use it 2-3 days a week fixing steaks, chicken, hamburgers and anything you would fix on a regular grill. Flip the grill plates over and fix bacon and eggs. I also have waffle plates and the waffles are awesome. After several years my first one wasn't regulating the temperature correctly. I still used it but I knew I had to replace it. The new one I just received is just like my first one. I love this as it's still the great quality that I expected. Waffle plates did not come with this one but my original ones work. Cleanup is a snap as the plates are removable and clean easily. Also includes a drip tray to keep the grease off of your meat. I highly recommend this!!! You won't be disappointed.

Great Indoor Griddle

Just bought a new Griddler to replace one I had for yeeeaaars that I wore out. I cook all sorts of burgers and boneless chicken breasts and thighs and breakfast meats and pancakes and waffles (with the plates). Recently served grilled ham n cheese to lunch guests and I think they went out and bought a Griddler for themselves!

Versatile Grill Makes Meal Prep Easy

This is a replacement purchase. Changes from my old griddler include reversible plates so need to store one set of grill plates when using the other, plates are interchangeable so need to worry about bottom plates and upper plates, there is a built-in drip pan that collects grease much more efficiently and finally the top plates can be adjusted to open wider allowing for a panini sandwich to be grilled. Only complaint is that the temperature control for panini is words and not actual temperatures, so it is harder to finger out a good cooking temperature. The griddle control does list temperatures and probably can be used as a guide when using the grill/panini side.

New and Improved Product

I was really excited to find an all in one, griddle plus panini press, with an option to add waffle plates later on. I usually get CuisineArt products based on their reliability and quality, however, not so much with this one. 
Pros: All in one, easy to use, removable plates
Panini press does what it needs to do

Cons: 
The griddle doesn't get hot enough, even at the highest temperature! So you end up with unevenly cooked pancakes, or they take forever to cook, which was my experience. 
The griddle feature is a nice idea, but forget making eggs or omelettes. The design of the plates causes the liquid egg mixture to slide right out into the catch tray. Why wouldn't anyone test this prior to release? 

Overall, I felt that this was overpriced for something that should at least just work enough to get hot. Maybe I got a lemon. Overall I would return this.

Subpar performance and poor design

Truly a poor design!  Grease and/or fluid does not drain off the center back, but pools in the rear corners instead, to the point of overflowing.  This has happened on two identical Griddlers!  Also, when you raise the lid to check on food, it does not line up over the edge of the grill plate, but about 2”  behind ir, therefore dripping any grease or fluid on the countertop AND the on coil that connects the two grill sections.
