The reason I chose this heater was to have something that would work with my 2000W Bluetti power station / solar system as a source of emergency heat.

I bought 2 units during boxing week and received them here in eastern Québec, Canada January 5th 2022 ahead of schedule.

It produces a very nice warmth as Mica technology leverages both radiant and convection type of heat. We used to have cold laminate flooring but this heater radiating heat makes all surfaces warm and also heats the air in the room. It is completely silent as there are no fans.
- The top dial is a thermostat.
- The bottom dial can be set to OFF/900W/1500W

Bluetti AC200P was able to run it on its high setting for 2 hours (if it was continuous it would be 1 hour but since the thermostat makes it turn on only to maintain temperature it was 2 hours)

I also received excellent customer service when I reached out to Gymax to match current price (lowered 10$ from when I bought). I also had 1 of the 2 units damaged in transit and  I was offered a full refund without having to bother sending the damaged one back.

Works well except when it was on high power it would trip the breaker. Lightweight and wheels are a great feature.

Gymac 1500 mica heater

The heater does not put out a decent amount of heat. My two parabolic heaters from Costco put out much more heat. This heater warms up and keeps shutting down at around 20 Celsius, which is low considering the thermostat dial is turned to high, whatever that means, as the dial has no numbers and the instructions give no indication of the high setting either. I will be returning the unit as it is possibly faulty or perhaps just puts out low and inconsistent heat and shuts off at 20 Celsius.

Weak heat and keeps shutting down!

I had to return this heater because it was operating inconsistently. Sometimes it would come on and sometimes it would not come on.

I had read good reviews about Mica heaters, which is why I bought this heater because apparently they heat up a larger room quite efficiently. My parabolic heater heated up the room, much better and it was much cheaper than this heater. 

Also, it was shut down before warming the room up. 

Build quality is pretty cheap ,mostly made of plastic.

The thermostat is basically useless because it is only an arrow that gets wider at one end and narrow at the other to tell you that you're in increasing the thermostat, but it doesn't show you an actual number so you don't know what you're setting the thermostat for.

I'm not even sure if the thermostat worked because the heater kept shutting off before the room was even warming up and then the heater would not come on again until I've been shut down for quite some time  I do not recommend this heater, which is why I returned it

Poor quality and inconsistent operation

This is a piece of junk that does not work sometimes. You cannot rely on it to work when you need it. It sometimes produces heat and sometimes does not produce any heat no matter what your settings are. You are left freezing while this piece of junk refuses to heat at all.
