A very good exercise device comfortable and easy to use.A multiple adjustment of resistance and very convenient.Storage is very easy and takes up very little space.The monitor is a little difficult to adjust the manual lack of information.

Gymax double hydraulic resistance rowing machine

A good little machine.  I like how it is compact and easy to store because it doesn't take up much space.  The resistance is a little strong and difficult to make even.  It is a little short for my legs but not so much that it doesn't work but for someone closer to 6' it might be a problem.

Compact

Reasonable price, on-time delivery.  Solid construction.  Easy assembly.  Piston operation is smooth.  Seat roller action is rough.  It will be interesting to see how long they last.  Rower is short!  I'm 6'2" and cannot straighten my legs.  Not recommended if you are taller than 5'0".

Item not for tall people.

Used this every weekday for 20 minutes. Moderate workout.
It's actually a really good workout. Lots of great tension for arm and body workout.
Unfortunately it broke after 3 months. First it started with the wheels under the seat slowly crumbling. Then, one of the arms just snapped off. The weld broke, so it is unfixable unless you are a welder. Had to be trashed.

Good work out, broke badly after 3 months

I had a similar rower that was purchased used 5 years ago that I wanted to replace. I am 5'10"  190 lbs. The Gymax seemed flimsy at first but I figured that I should use it for 2 weeks before passing judgement.  After the time had elapsed, using a total of 120 minutes,  it was clear that  a review was necessary. The seat wheels began to shred and the seat locks on occasion interfering with your beginning stroke.  The left arm loosens despite tightening every 3-4 days. The rower creeks intermittently giving the concern that something is about to break.  Once you reach 1:00 on hip extension, the end where your feet are lifts off the ground. There are more issues but this was enough for me to return and request a refund .

Doubt will work past 500 minutes of operation

Should have paid attention to other reviews. The resistance shocktubes are so stiff, you can not use them. Thought they might soften are some use, but not to be. So, I dismantled the frame, removed the resistance shocktubes an attached some rubber resistance bands. Not as much resistance as I would like, but I can at least get into a nice rhythm and get a good 30/45 minute workout done. Save your money and invest it in any rowing machine but this one. Worst purchase I've made.

Not worth the time or money.

Have the same issue with the  hydraulic Pistons are so tight it is very hard to get any work out. No web support, not instructions on how to release the tension on the pistons.  Not pleased with it until somebody comes with a solution, NOT RECOMMENDED

Hydraulic Resistance

0 customer support. Nothing in the instruction manual. I have looked all over the Internet even went to their website it does not let me leave a review. The hydraulic Pistons are so tight I cannot even use it. I have tried adjusting the row handles like it says and it just goes from extremely hard to Impossible. Sturdy construction pretty easy to put together but that's about the only positive I have to say about it.
