Thin mattress. Futon bars make it so there's no way u can lay on it. Don't recommend at all.

Thin uncomfortable

walmart.com

The sturdiness is very scary. We do not use the top bunk and are looking for another bunk bed now. Waste of $300 for a bunk bed. I like the futon bottom but you also need to have 2 pads down for comfort.

Not worth it

Gymax Twin Over Futon Bunk Bed Convertible Couch & Bed with Safety Guardrails in black metal. Designed for kids' furniture, the top bunk includes full-length guardrails and dual ladders for secure access. The bottom futon converts between a sofa and a bed, adjustable to 100° and 115°, ideal for small spaces. The powder-coated metal frame supports up to 330 lbs per bunk. Visible under-bed storage space includes baskets and boxes neatly arranged.
