Been using this product on hands for 40 years. When cracked and bleeding as I work with my hands to earn a living. Use nitrile gloves overnight after application, 
Have never had issues as this is a veterinary product not meant for human use. Has worked for me with no reactions.

The original recipe from back in the day.Not greasy like Bag Balm. Heals,repairs and softens the worst chapped skin,lips,heels etc.Not just for animals anymore! Love it.
