This works as it should.  It should also be mentioned that this product only charges one battery at a time.

Good Charger

I love this charger it keeps my battery charged up quick and the convenients of charging  one battery at a time but your second battery is already to go once the other battery charges only cons I've found so far. Two bad batteries cost more than the equipment or you might could have extra batteries to use in all your heart equipment.. the biggest con I would say is there should be a way to check your warranty status since you do have to put your serial number in to check out at Walmart why can't they look it up at heart tools not like they got tons of vendors selling there stuff. I'm just saying that would make good sense just saying..

Great charger. I gave it a lower rating because it does not charge both batteries at the same time. The second battery does not start until the first one completes.

Outstanding Charger! We have two of these, the first we paid $69 for, and the second came in a bundle with two 4Ah batteries and an additional rapid charger for just $99 total. It is easy to see that buying bundles is the way to go. When offered they take $100 to $150 off the total cost of their individual components. 

This is a 3 amp Fast Charger, and it truly is very fast! 4Ah batteries go from completely exhausted to charged in about 1.5 hours. (It is a sequential charger, so it does not charge both batteries at the same time.)

as near as I can tell Hart offers three charging speeds dependent on which charger you select. This is the 3 amp Fast Charger, there is also a 2 amp Rapid Charger, and last a very slow half amp charger. (The half amp charger comes with some tools that include a battery, and they take 8 hours to fully charge a 4Ah battery.)

We gave it 4 stars as it is a sequential charger and not a tandem charger. We would have given 4.5 if that option was available.

Outstanding Sequential Charger!

This charger works with the Hart battery family.  It will charge 2 batteries but only one at a time.  The unit itself is pretty sturdy and easy to use. Battery charging is slow, unfortunately. If you are going to charge two batteries plan to do it over night.

Reliable, but not fast charger

i bought the dual port fast chargerso i could charge 2 batteries at the same time it was a waste of money cause even tho its a dual charger it charges one battery and put the second on hold until the first battery is fully charged then and onl;y then it will start to charge the second one like whats the sense of having a dual charger if it cant charge both batteries at the same time

HART DUAL CHARGER

It has NO redeeming qualities. You'd be better off getting two single chargers. Each fault by itself would be a killer. But, there so many. The biggest fault is that it doesn't charge the batteries at the same time; it puts the 2nd battery in a queue to be charged after the 1st. That defeats the whole purpose of a two-battery charger. 
This charger is so stupid, I had to open it up to see inside. There's nothing but empty space. You could even put the power brick inside without any modifications. then, you'd only have a small standard plug to deal with instead of attaching two heavy objects together with a small electrical cord. But, if you still insisted on an external power brick, it should be detachable so you don't damage the cord. Very awkward, hard to handle. Total BS. And, if the power brick was detachable, you could use a larger one on it, speeding up the charge time. But no, you can't do that either. 
In summary, what this is, is an awkward hard to handle space-taker that leaves less room on your table/bench and gives worse service/value than a cheapie-charger that comes free with the tool/battery. Even the empty case is worthless. The ONLY thing keeping it out of the trash, is that it's already bought
