The HART 35-Foot is a brilliant and handy tool that is a welcome addition to any DIYer’s toolbox or utility drawer. The tape measures compact size means it can be stored anywhere and is also very portable. Useful for any project that can be found around the house or in the garage, this tape measure provides a lot of value without taking up too much space in your tool belt. The 35-foot compact tape measure features a 3/4-inch blade and an oversized hook capable of grabbing the surface of your measured material from the top or bottom for added convenience. The fraction markings allow for quick, accurate and easily identifiable measurements while the rugged over mold housing provides impact resistance and a better grip. This tool is also covered under HART’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nicely designed tape measure. You can't beat it for the price. If you want to measure without spending very much, I would get this.

Budget tape

walmart.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has a big "lip" on the start of the tape measure, much easier to hold onto the item being measured

Bigger tape measure Lip

This measuring tape is nice and long. The word compact is deceiving because it is far from compact and is a little heavier than I thought it would be.

Good Measuring Tape

priced reasonable increaments in fractions it will be used daily at work hopefully after a month of work i can repost and let everyone know if it holds up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The entire housing of the Hart 35 ft. Soft Grip Tape Measure is covered in rubber for an excellent grip. The lock lever is very easy to operate, but it holds the tape tightly. The belt clip is wire instead of flat steel. Hart says it is easier on belts. I can't say for sure at this point. Time will tell.

The hook at the end of the tape is attached with 3 rivets, like many other quality ones. But, they are riveted through not only a chromed steel piece on top, but also through another one on the bottom! This adds extra stiffness and durability to the hook attachment, in my estimation. It projects upward and downward for versatility when measuring. Great idea!

By the way, the tape has measuring increments on both sides of the tape! The 16" increments are in bright red for standard 2x4 stud spacing. The increments go down to 1/16".

Hart calls their design "compact", but It's about as large overall as my 35' tape measure. So, I can't really agree with that claim. It is, however, just a tad lighter. I was able to extend the tape just shy of 9 ft. straight out into the air before it finally collapsed under its own weight. That's what Hart calls standout. 9 ft. is a very good number, based on my experience with other tape measures. The spring was strong all the way to the 35' extreme.

So, overall, I have to give this Hart Soft-Grip 35' Tape Measure a grade of excellent. My only gripe is the terribly hard-to-open packaging. I needed a pocket knife to carefully extricate it from the grips of that packaging monster. It's the most difficult packaging I've ever had to deal with. Hart needs to rethink the packaging. The product itself, though, is a real winner!

I received this product as part of Walmart's Spark Reviewer program. My reviews are always honest and unbiased. I call 'em as I see 'em.

Impressive!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tape measure 2 weeks Ago from my local walmart thinking this was going to be another throw away cheap tool. I was surprised when this one handled being dropped from a 3rd story rafter. I definitely recommend.

Great little measuring tape

harttools.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good standout, lightweight, quality tape. I like the larger blade. I have also put this thing through the test, dropping several times and a few children grabbing it and pulling all the tape out to the point of overextension and its still going.

Holds up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we first received the tape measure my husband decided to see how far it would stretch out before it bent and it went to 13 feet! This is a quality product and it's very sturdy. I also like that the numbers are large and easy to read. We just recently put up a small fenced in area for our 3 dogs to play off leash. The length of the lot is 30ft and it was really convenient to have this tape measure to use. Since it's a long 35ft we were able to measure the entire distance instead of having to mark and measure additionally. It's fairly heavy and bulky but that's to be expected when the tape measure is 35ft. I am very pleased with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone needing a longer than average tape measure. It made putting up our chain link fence much easier by having this tool to use!

sturdy tape measure

This is the first time I've ever had the tape in a tape measure tear in half. We had just purchased it half an hour earlier, and it tore after a few minutes of use.

Poorly Made

I bought this less than a 6 months ago. I use this in my wood shop. This is a 35 feet tape which is never is used longer than 16 feet since that is the material length. Im very upset over this because I depend on my tools to do my work. I have tapes that 10 years old and other then being wore out, they still work...

Spring broke!

HART 35-Foot Soft Grip Compact Tape Measure with black rubber overmold housing, white and blue accents, and a yellow 3/4-inch wide blade extended showing double-sided black and red fraction markings, featuring an oversized silver metal hook and a blue locking button for secure measurements, ideal for home improvement projects.
