This thing is perfect for my yard. Sturdy and I only use half of the charge for normal yard trim. The trigger is a variable switch, it's not a on/off switch. I was using it on full blast the first two times. haha

It's been a while since I've used a trimmer. Reattaching the string spool and guiding the strings through their little holes in a timely manner is not my skillset. I'll have to search for some video to see how everyone else is doing it.

Oh, one last fun fact. I have the HART 40-volt 6Ah push mower. The 4Ah batter from this works on the mower...in case your 11-year-old son takes too long to mow the lawn and the mower dies. He can still finish the job. The dead battery is not an excuse.

Got this on rollback for $138, and that alone makes it a great buy. The battery by itself is usually around $120 , so getting the trimmer included is excellent value.

The trimmer has solid power for regular yard work and is easy to use. No gas or cords to deal with, which is a big plus. Setup was simple and it’s not too heavy.

Overall, great value—especially if you need a 40V battery.

Battery Alone Is Worth It

Very easy to use.  Being a 65-year-old female, I needed something lightweight.  This is perfect.  Does my area of about 800 square feet in less than 1/2 hour.  Battery life is excellent.  I have not replaced the line yet so cannot speak to that, but it looks fairly simple.

Excellent product at a great price

I am 5’ tall. This is heavy and too long for a short girl!  I added a strap and that made a world of difference! But for my height, the trigger sets behind and puts a weird stress on the wrist. Trying to turn it on its side to edge the sidewalk was very challenging at my height!  All that to say, I still liked it better than the gas one I have that uses 6” strips of line that have to be replaced every 2 seconds! Just a heads up on the weight and length to the short users!

The bump head isn't worth much it wouldn't unlock to change the string then it broke I had to change it out another one on it and kept weed eating the weed eater itself is really good easy to use and light don't have to crank or mess with gas just hit the trigger and go

This weedeater works great. Has the power cuts the grass great!!  But!!!! problem is that  it is made for a left-handed person. I’m a right handed person. Most All weedeaters spin clockwise, this one does not. So congratulations to hart for changing the set up after all these years.  and congratulations to all left handers because you now have a product that benefits you.

This is a hunk of junk. First of all the assembly instructions are horrible. I actually had to go to YouTube to find out how to put this together. Then I went out and used it. It ran OK but I ran out of line. So I go back to YouTube and to find out how you can add more like line. Unfortunately, it doesn't work and I can't get it to take the line. So, it's going back to Walmart!

Horrible experience.  The trimmer spool assembly and it's rewinding, replacement spool function is a nightmare. It comes preloaded with cord, but quickly jams, needs to be rewound / reloaded. Doing so required 2 YouTube vids, which were helpful as there are no instructions to speak of.  However,  the 'twist and lock/unlock' spool housing was impossible to put back together.  Getting a refund. I wouldn't repurchase or advise anyone else to, either.

It has the power but this thing doesn’t hold up very well.  The plastic cutting head part is just garbage.  I have not used it for more than an hour now and it is nearly worthless.  The feeding mechanism doesn’t seem to work properly either.  Not great at all.

Today was the second time that we used it around the house. it stopped working altogether. at\nFirst I thought it may have best been the battery had gotten low. because there was a humming inside where the motor would be. we charge the battery and try it again.The motor did the same humming noise and it didn't work.
