I bought this because my old hand mixer gave up after several years, and this one is more powerful than anticipated.  I didn't need all of the extra attachments as I primarily use this to bake cakes and make whipped cream, and it's served me well so far.  I like the settings as I start out low and end low (so as to not send batter flying).  It washes well and is perfect for the money.

It works well, even with thick brownie and cookie batters. Definitely recommended this for bakers. Great value. the only improvement I would make is the storage container size. It is too small the parts and cord must be packed to perfection in order to fit. I have been leaving the cord dangling and I prefer not to do that. A few more inches of space would be marvelous.

I needed one here @ the house  where I'm staying @. I tried creaming the sugar %26 butter together for banana bread w/a wooden spoon. Not an easy task, mind you. So I saw this model, %26 liked it right away.  It was a name brand model by Hamilton Beach,  that was relatively affordable, %26 it came w/a uniquely designed case to store all the different attachments together w/the whisk. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm sure it will be great!

Love @ 1st sight!!

For a general use, everyday hand mixer, this one is perfect.  I have a fancy stand mixer but sometimes just need something quick and easy to use for a little batch of something.  I like that it has the storage compartment for the beaters and cord because cabinet space is tight.  It's also easy to clean up.  I've used Hamilton Beach for years and trust the brand too.

Great everyday hand mixer

The beaters feel flimsy and don't stay in the mixer while it is turned on. One, or the other always comes out, regardless of it being fully engaged. Definitely not up to their normal quality item. I realize it is not a high end name brand, but usually they put out products that can be used for a year or so and this one is defective from day one.
Ended up thrown away and a waste of money.

I would not recommend

it worked fine for the price, but i haven't had for even a full year, used it twice and the stir things are already rusting and the whisk part is to weak to whisk properly

I bought this hand mixer in November. In August, during its 3rd or 4th use, something in the gear shaft broke while making buttercream icing with very soft soft butter. This is the 3rd Hamilton Beach mixer I have purchased. My first one lasted years 10 years. My next one lasted around 2 or 3. This one didn't last but 9 months with only occasional, light use. The boost function never worked great. Most things needed to be mixed with the highest speed, and I always wished it had a bit more boost.  I will never buy another Hamilton Beach mixer again. Unfortunately, this brand has really declined in quality. I loved my other ones, but this one was a disappointment. Buyer BEWARE!

Not What Hamilton Beach Used to Be

I've only used this mixer 4 times.  And the beaters are rusting already.  Rather dissappointed , cause I owned Hamilton years ago almost identical to this one.  And I never had issues with it.  Beaters are made very cheaply now.  Contacting them tomorrow.

While it worked well, and I loved it for the period of time that it worked, it only worked from August 23 until today, October 6, 2025.

I'm so disappointed.
