The Make Up For Ever HD Skin Undetectable Longwear Foundation is a phenomenal, true-to-skin formula. It provides an airbrushed, natural matte finish and stays intact through long days.
You should grab a backup bottle now while it is on clearance, and prepare to transition to the new Balancing & Perfecting formula. I like the new formula but it's just not the same.

I periodically try new foundation that's come onto the market, but have found HD to still be the best coverage without feeling heavy and since I'm an older woman, doesn't dry my skin... Looks dewy.

love this one - new to liquids combo skin here and so far this is the only foundation that i can wear that matches me without adding extra products to "make it work" dry's down matte and last pretty good in hot humid weather. I luv their powder vs too might like that one a bit more WISH there was more in the compact.

new to liquids & I Like it

This makeup is just the right consistency for spreading quickly over skin on face. It hides minor flaws but I still have to wear concealer for the blue rings under my eyes. I don't think it's too obvious that I am wearing makeup. This product will definitely improve your appearance.

Make-Up Forever HD Skin has good coverage

I rarely say that a foundation works perfectly in real life and on camera, but Make Up For Ever HD is exactly that product.
The first thing I noticed is that skin still looks like skin.
The texture is lightweight and seamless — no mask effect — yet it evens out the complexion beautifully and makes the skin look smooth, fresh, and well cared for.
On camera, the result is outstanding:
the face looks clean and balanced,
the skin tone is even,
no texture is emphasized,
no heaviness or flatness.
What really impressed me is that this foundation doesn't “eat” the face on camera.
Instead, it preserves dimension, structure, and natural freshness — which is crucial for photos and video.
After wearing it, the face looks polished, confident, and camera-ready.
For me, this foundation is a true professional staple — reliable, elegant, and incredibly photogenic.

Camera-Ready Skin, No Filters

A good foundation for prom, a wedding, or something special. 'Undetectable' is not a good word for it because it definitely looks fake on my face. I was PORELESS with this foundation in both a good and bad way to the point of almost looking flat. How I avoided the flatness: thick moisturizer + oil + hydrating primer + hydrating setting spray after application. And I am a very oily skin type! I find it very dry even for someone who prefers a semi-matte finish. After all that, it's a look I am going for and nothing too glamorous or heavy for everyday work. With that said, there's foundations out there that don't require the extra steps with similar results. Just not for me and my goals.

okay but needs plenty of prep to be natural

Color recommended from the previous formula is far too red and oxidizes. This formula is very drying and shows every line. Trying the new formula that was just released and hope that works out. Overall disappointing

Not even close

The color that was supposed to duplicate R370 is much darker and I can't use it.  The liquid is drying to my skin whereas the discontinued foundation was lubricating.  The scent is unpleasant.  Since the other foundation was discontinued you should offer refund if the recommended color isn't  suitable and to existing customers who have used the foundation for years we should be offered free samples in order to fund a replacement shade or product.  I've also purchased the stick foundation and found that difficult to apply although the shade is the same.

MAKE UP FOR EVER

HD Skin was so disappointing.  There was a chart to match your color from the discontinued Ultra HD foundation line. The recommended color in HD Skin was nothing like Y325 which I have been using for years. It was extremely orange and I had to return it.  None of the colors were even close.   I'll be looking for a different foundation brand.

Newer doesn't always mean better.

Not as good a product as previous HD.  Does not apply as easily or smoothly.  The Y245 color was eliminated and you have no true color replacement.  I have been sold two that should replace it nether did that.  One was way too light and the other too much yellow. Apparently no one caught on when the Y245 sold out quickly after the new Skin introduced the new one.
