Based on simple and intuitive hand management, Heat: Pedal to the Metal puts players in the driver's seat of intense car races, jockeying for position to cross the finish line first, while managing their car's speed if they don't want to overheat. Selecting the right upgrades for their car will help them hug the curves and keep their engine cool enough to maintain top speeds. Ultimately, their driving skills will be the key to victory! Drivers can compete in a single race or use the "Championship System" to play a whole season in one game night, customizing their car before each race to claim the top spot of the podium. They have to be careful as the weather, road conditions, and events will change every race to spice up their championship. Players can also enjoy a solo mode with the Legends Module or add automated drivers as additional opponents in multiplayer games.

It's a game where I have as young as 7 year olds to grandparents happily playing and keeps everyone involved and is just our favorite game since the Ticket to Ride board games. The box art is beautiful and it is so well made for countless hours of play and use. It's a must add for really any household from novices to board game collectors. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Fun racing themed game

We do not play many board games and not a big fan of the activity. However this game was a hit and definitely will compel us to play more. Yet to get the advanced features however the basic version is fun all by itself. also it has bit of unpredictability to it… as the person who was lagging the entire race ended up winning. All in all great fun and i highly recommend it to families who are looking for a quick learn but still somewhat thinky

Has good mechanics to address some of the run away leader you see in other games.  It's fun to manage heat, shift gears, and try to come up with a winning strategy.  Great game!

Excellent Game for gamers and non-gamers

One of my favorite board games of all time. I love managing my heat to race around the track. Lots of extra content to keep the game interesting. Really enjoy the simplicity of the AI to make sure all the cars are used every race.

Push it to the limit if you dare

HEAT is a great multiplayer game that integrates many of the nuances feom actual racing into a board game.  Very satisfying to play and all the players had a great time.

Heat: Pedal to the Metal is an excellent game and an absolute blast to play.  The decisions on what gear to be in, whether to use heat, what cards to play, etc. are enough to make each turn challenging, but not so much to cause analysis paralysis.

The gameplay is where Heat really shines. It's fast and packed with clever mechanics that reward planning and risk-taking.  The “heat” cards add a unique twist to managing your car's engine, forcing players to decide when to push their limits and when to play it safe.  There's always a good sense of tension when a corner approaches as well as surprises when other players speed past you or fall behind. Every lap becomes a tense balance between speed and control, and the moment you hit a corner at the perfect speed, jump on the gas pedal, and take the lead, you'll feel like Ricky Bobby because “If you ain't first, you're last." 

The mechanics are simple enough that new players can quickly pick up the game and the game also allows experienced players to manipulate their deck to level out the playing field. There is also a solo mode, offering a great experience when you can't gather a group.

The vintage art is beautifully well done and captures the heart of vintage car racing.

Overall, Heat is a terrific game. It's accessible for newcomers, satisfying for seasoned gamers, and guaranteed to satisfy your need for speed.

Life is Too Short to Sit in Traffic
