I am very happy with this island. It was a lot of pieces and seemed scary, but actually went together very easy. Followed the step by step direction. The only problem I had was trying to align the doors. 
It is very practical for me as I didn't want anything permanent in the middle of my kitchen.  When I pull it out and open the drop leaf, it is very roomy to work on.

This was a piece of cake to put together and it seems like it can take some abuse and still hold up. Only time will tell but this is a bit more sturdy than most I have encountered. Bar stools fit perfect under the leaf as well. 

The side towel rack seems like it would be good for a roll of paper towels, but the rod is fixed and cannot be easily removed without taking apart. You will notice that no pictures show this part utilized.  Other than that a pretty solid buy.

I honestly accidentally purchased this and told them to cancel it but it arrived so fast I couldn't, however this piece of furniture is hands down amazing. It was not that difficult to put together maybe two hours of uninterrupted time (my kids made it difficult lol) I ordered this on a Wednesday and got it on a Saturday! I'll post pictures later. It's very sturdy! Very pleased and there was nothing damaged at all! I even got extra screws just Incase! It's beautiful and so worth every penny! The instructions were great too! 10/10 recommend!

Buy it!! Worth every penny!

I'm very happy with this. Received it fast and put it together in about 2 hours (I'm admittedly not the best at assembling furniture, you could probably do it faster.)  Quality is good when considering the price. It's certainly not heirloom quality. Drawers and other parts do not use dovetail joints, but everything is solid wood and there is none of that cheap cardboard backing. Everything works fine, it looks great, and serves the purpose of having extra storage and counter space in the kitchen.

Solid piece of furniture

Good quality and good value for the price. I was thinking it may be flimsy being a put-together kit. But it is solid, and the top is sturdy. Took out a bench attached to the wall and table during renovation, and needed something to replace it. This was perfect. Added a couple stools for eating. Now we have more counter space and more storage space, and it is a very attractive addition to our kitchen!

Great addition to our kitchen!

I like the island, the gray is smooth & its just what I was looking for. It took about 2.5 hours for 2 people, mostly my husband while I sat with him and drank Ros¨¨, but I kept allllllllllll the many pieces organized for easy fetching. The hinges or latches for the cabinet doors are the trickiest by far, he was cussing a bit. All in all, I'm really happy with the piece! The wood block on top is heavy & sturdy. Hardware is attractive

Major assembly required

Instructions were simple, and easy to read. Took all of two hours with my compact DeWalt with a torx and phillips head bits. Finish tightening main torx screws on sides after top is on, as it settles on floor. Also, make sure slide in plywood panels are all in their respective slots, especially top two #10's, so table top is flush with the frame. Wood door/drawer panels are solid and nicely finished, with adjustable closure hardware. The table top/leaf is solid oak finger jointed, with a clear, natural finish. The casters, two front locking, are a bonus. In my opinion, this piece is very good quality, with attention to detail. Not perfect, but when it's put together correctly, it looks like a nice piece of functional furniture. All parts, with some extras, and superbly packaged. Grey blue hue. Wife didn't want either end sections put on... Towel roll and knife/spice rack holder. Imo looks better without. Also put (12) 1/2" oak wood plugs in larger screw holes on both sides, six per side... Looks more finished. Added pic of side with added oak hole plugs... Will fill smaller holes with 1/8" oak dowel.

A looker...functional, drop leaf island w/casters

This has made my kitchen so much more user friendly! I don't have room for a table in my cottage so this gives my husband and I a place to eat our meals. The cabinets are spacious and I feel like my storage in the kitchen doubled! It is great quality, very sturdy and fun to put together for me!

High quality. User friendly

Great product that seem to be well built, took a bit of time to set up, the instructions are very basic with only pictures but if you follow it closely you should not have any problems. It took me a couple of hours to set up, could have been a bit quicker but I was working on it on a Sunday afternoon while the games were on so I was not working very fast. Once setup was complete it is a real beautiful unit and a good size, it is also very sturdy. The top and the leaf are made from real high quality wood. When setting up make sure to tighten the screws just tight enough, its better to use a regular screwdriver and not any type of power tools; that way you can guage how tight the screws are. You do not want to under tight or it may end up being wobbly, you also do not want to over tight and strip any screws which would also cause the same effect. Once you set it up right it is a very solid and beautiful unit.

When I need more counter space to roll out dough, I can pick up the leafed back and double my space.
