For the money, you can't miss on this battery operated clock. it is simple, easy to read and sturdy. it's just a plain good little clock. I hung it in my den. My vision is not what it used to be but I can see the time easily with it hanging on the wall across the room. it keeps the time right on the money, even after I dropped onto a hardwood floor. Best $6.00 I have spent on these times where everything is so expensive and built to fall apart in a few years
this is the second one I've got from Walmart. The last one lasted almost 10 years. And it's not a flimsy little thing. You for sure can't go wrong on th

walmart.com

Other than having to struggle to put the AA battery (not included) in, the clock looks and works great in my kitchen (the previous clock, which we had for about 5 years, stopped working for some reason; also, it didn't have a second hand, so that's another plus for me). Good price, easy to hang, easily seen across the room.

good price; easy to install on the wall and view

now this clock is a piece of junk I bought two of them the first one the little minute hand that's that's supposed to go around it got stuck and it would just stick and stay there and wouldn't do anything so I said okay I don't know what the heck is going on with this I'm going to clock expert so I'm going to get rid of it and I'm going to buy another one so I bought another one same brand it did the same thing again terrible craftsmanship the product is just horrible totally horrible if you buy this clock you're going to end up buying another clock so the best thing you can do is leave this product right on the shelf leave it alone and besides I really don't like mainstay products I really don't all their products are cheap very very cheap and the mechanics and what they put into the clock it's just rubbish totally rubbish

These mainstays clocks are awesome! This replaces one I used for who knows how long-10 years and 4 moves. They are inexpensive, take 1 AA battery, and just keep on working. Set up is nothing-put in battery, hang on wall. Good size of 8.78" makes it easy to see from the distance of across the room. Definitely measure your room situation--you may not need a bigger one and can save a few bucks. The second hand is one of the clicky ones , not smooth but for the price, who cares. This particular model shows the little marks between the numbers making it easy for the kids to count the time. It is also sturdy and has already survived being knocked off the wall--see previously mentioned kids for details on that and why my old one finally quit working!

Excellent clock--good price

I hung this clock so that I can see it from my shower. The numbers are big, crisp, easy to read. And it runs on one AA battery. And the price was great. Very happy.

Now I know what time it is!

This is doing the job! It is light and was easy to hang. It seems to be keeping good time. (Note, the AA battery is not included.) It's not terribly pretty, but I didn't need that.

Keeps time!

My daughter is homeschooling her children and needed a clock that would both keep them all on schedule, and would be a great teaching tool for learning how to tell time. I am a teacher and found this item to fit the bill perfectly. Also the quality was great as well as the price.

I like the basic design but the clock doesn't last or doesn't work properly. It ran normally for 2 months and stopped working one day even with new batteries. Then after a while it started working again by itself for a few days and stopped. Can't understand what mechanism making it go on and off in a cycle itself.

Not reliable

Pro: Looks nice. Nothing fancy.

Con: Dead after 3 months. Sweeping second hand can't advance past the number 9. Thus, the hour %26 minute can't continue. Can't get inside to fix it either without breaking plexiglass cover.

What would you expect for 6 bucks.....

originally purchased the clock and the hour hands did not move, I returned it within a couple of days replaced it with a second clock and it kept time for about 3 or 4 months now it doesn't keep time it's always behind no matter how many times I change the battery or whatever I do it does not keep time I will not be replacing it with the same clock not worth the money worst clock I ever bought

not with the money
