Requires minimal effort and is straightforward.

This is a VERY sturdy floor lamp with a strong base. My problem with it was not allowing for the foot the shade hung down. This made the lamp too short for me. You would need to be sure to consider this in your measurements.

i like it in that it was easy to assemble. it's by my rocking chair and seems adequate as reading light . Can t decide what the top reminds me of yet. The tin man? what what.

Why i like it

This is a great lamp, especially considering the price point, and fits wonderfully with my retro/minimalist decor.  I like it so much I bought a second one.

Great quality floor lamp

This is exactly what I needed, in a simple classic style. I'm not a fan of the floor lamps that aim at the ceiling, but have a reading lamp awkwardly sticking out the side of the pole. And there weren't that many choices out there for a simple reading floor lamp that does nothing more than direct the light onto my book and not in all directions. This is perfect, and attractive, and affordable.

easy, great reading lamp

The lamp is as described and precisely what I was looking for - a reading and accent lamp to brighten a dark corner of my living room. The price was very reasonable too. It was  undamaged despite the box it arrived in being broken

Right lamp/right price.

I tried several stores trying to find an inexpensive floor lamp for a summer cottage. Walmart had a decent selection without being over the top expensive. One bonus is the height is adjustable, as is the lamp shade position.

Poor quality. Decorative metal accents broke off and otherwise unstable shade mount. Would not recommend.

Wouldn't recommend

The lamp I received was obviously used and damaged. The box wasn't sealed properly and was ripped.  There were scrapes on the black metal and a sticker was removed and crumpled. I was surprised they would send this out to a customer. I went to the store for a replacement but the one on display looked cheap looking and the knob to adjust the angle was not easy to turn.
