This PUR faucet filter is attractive (matches chrome of faucet), the water tastes wonderful and I'm just, in general, very impressed with it. It's the faucet filter I didn't realize I wanted, until
I got it hooked up and turned on (is also very light weight for faucet safety). It also has a pretty green light that flashes six times when one is using the filtered water. Installing it was a dream, it was so simple. Have had other filters, but never one of this caliber. I'd give it a 10 out of 10. I can tell it will be cheaper than bottled water, already.

I purchased the PUR Advanced Faucet Water Filter.  I read the directions and followed them.  It was installed in about a minute.  After running the water the prescribed amount of time (5 minutes), it was ready for use.  It's great!  It's every bit as good (maybe better) as bottled water at a very small fraction of the cost per gallon of the water in a bottle.  I wish I had discovered this years ago, instead of throwing my money down the drain.  I would definitely recommend this product and, should you have any questions about the different models, the people at Walmart were extremely helpful and knowledgeable.  I'm very happy with this purchase.

Have pure water and save money too!

This is the easiest water filter to work & definitely the most stylish! It literally just pops on & when you need to remove it; pop again! Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because of the hard water in my area I need filtered water to drink; to use in my humidifier & in my clothes steamer as not to have the mineral buildup..this product more than fits the bill. A++++++

One thing...,It's cheaper to purchase online & either have it mailed out to you or store pickup. I saw it online, but didn't purchase it because I wanted to take a firsthand look at the other filters. After comparing I decided on this one, but discovered it was at a higher price than online($5 more)...so what did I do? While standing in the store I went online via my iphone; made the purchase; then went back to the online pickup desk to retrieve my item. I asked the clerk about it & she only said, "Yeah, some items are cheaper online." Go figure. Be sure to check online price!

I been buying bottle water for a few years didn't think nothing of it till my coffee maker went.
(I purchase a more expensive Keurig it calls for bottled or filtered water) It prompted me to do
some research . I found the Pur to be the best rated, reasonable priced & cost about $11.00
cheaper per year (than purchasing the water bottles ).It was very easy to install took maybe
5 minutes works perfectly . The water also runs faster than others I have seen. I like the shiny chrome. So now it is not only saving money but it's hassle free not having to carry a 30 pack
each week of bottles. I definitely recommend this if your hesitant no need to be go for it it's wonderful . ;-)

Little Gem...

I love this filter. I have bought 3 of the ones shaped to the side and they all leaked. This one i could only find online so i had it shipped. I had this exact one before i moved so i needed one for my new house. Wish it was sold in my local store but either way it works great.

our water has a bad taste to it. I wanted a filter that would filter out chlorine & fluoride.  This one doesn't filter the fluoride, but it does filter chlorine, lead and medications. The water tastes better without having to fill a pitcher daily.
My husband installed it without any problems and it is working great.

cleaner water

Purchased product and would not fit on my faucet. Called company stated that if none of the adapters didn't work than it won't work. Returned to walmart for refund

PUR Filter

I am on my second Pur advanced faucet water filter. The first one leaked from day 1 around the faucet adapter. The washer fitting was not properly seated. After 15 days it was spraying water everywhere when turning on the filtered water side. I returned to walmart and exchanged it for another one. The new one has no leaking when running straight tap water and just a slow tiny leaking when using filtered water. When installing I started with just barely finger tight, I do not have any strength in my hands and after 2 attempts at just about a 1/4 turn each time and the leaking around the adapter finally got to a point I could live with. Not happy with it, but what to do. Pur does offer a 30 days no questions asked return guarantee, so we will see. Only into a week with the replacement.

Why do I not just return it and go to another brand, well tried other brands, DuPont, etc and was not happy with the quality of water it produced. This Pur filter is by far the best tasting most refreshing water. Our water is heavy in chlorine smell and taste, horrible to try to drink from the tap and this filter has removed it. I have drank more water since installing this then I have in the last few years we have lived here.

It would be nice if Pur would match their product quality even if it cost a little more to the quality of water the filters deliver it would be awesome. Note to PUR Please consider going with metals to construct this instead of the cheap plastic. shame 20 years ago the one I had was no trouble at all and most of it at least structural was metal

Oh and another peeve, you cannot just replace the adapter, you have to replace the entire assembly if the adapter should fail.

Great water, but faucet adapters are finicky

This unit hooks up to the faucet easily and quickly. It takes a bunch (20-30) runs through the filter to get the water going at a good clip.
It is painfully slow
The water tastes great though it filters well
