Cleaning Performance

Allows quick connection for cleaning small areas and upholstery.

Can be strong in high-traffic areas, but struggles with low-pile carpets or water extraction.

Operates with minimal effort and is lightweight.

I paid a carpet cleaning service last year and this steamer cleaned my carpet even better! I'm so glad that I invested in this cleaner. All heavy traffic areas are clean now. I have a small apartment but went over each area slowly as opposed to what professional cleaners do so if you have the patience, you can have a professionally cleaned carpet. I wish that I took a before pic to show you how dirty the carpet was but trust me, you won't be disappointed. I also thoroughly cleaned the cleaner after finished so that in the next 6 mos. to a year, the cleaner will still be in brand new condition. I used a small amount of Hoover paws and claws soliton, oxy clean, downy fabric softener, and dawn 4x dish liquid to the gallon of hot water. I refilled once and this throughly cleaned my livingroom and bedroom carpet. This saves me a lot of money. Hope that this helps!

Solid investment. No more carpet cleaning service

walmart.com

I have had dogs and birds and steam cleaners for 40 years. And this is the first that I have zero complaints about. It cleans brilliantly, it is super simple to use, it has a gigantic tank for both clean water and dirty water, you're not taking it apart 20 times to be able to clean your house because it's full of hair or a belt is slipping, or the brushes have worn down to nothing in three days… Or some little weird piece that holds a brush and broke, or that stupid little foam filter is full of dirt or some thing… This has no foam filter, it has a small hair trap in the dirty water tank that you literally just pull out rinse out you're done. Like your lint filter on your dryer. you can do an entire very large room with the amount of water in the clean water tank and still have a ton of room left in the dirty water tank. The heat function is like a hairdryer as you're going along. It's doing it steam cleaning thing you run over it a couple more times and your floor is dry in half an hour. there's no crazy pre-treating needed unless it's something really gross. This thing literally took out chemotherapy stains, off of white carpet almost a year later. It's phenomenal. I really don't have anything bad to say about it… It's not good, and I freaking hate steam cleaners because they've always been such a hassle. This thing is the holy Grail of steam cleaners.

Wow!!!!! no, really…WOW

We had this rug placed in a darker room and didn't realize how dirty it was until we moved it out. We bought this Hoover during the Black Friday sale for $97 and it is so worth it! It's not as loud as another one I used before and it took only a few passes to start seeing a difference. We totally recommend and the pictures speak for itself.

Amazing find!

I bought this to clean a large area rug downstairs and our carpeted upstairs. Even after vacuuming twice, it still got so much dirt out of the area rug that looked clean. The dirty water was so brown! I'm so glad I got this because it really sucks up well, it's easy to use, and it does a great job on all the hidden dirt

Gets all the hidden nasties

Corinne L.

I've had the Hoover Dual PowerMax Pet Wet Vac for more than three years, and it's been one of the most reliable tools in my home. I use it at least weekly—often daily, and sometimes even multiple times a day. I've used it on carpets, area rugs, and upholstered furniture with ease.

This machine tackles everything from everyday dirt to tougher messes, including any kind of spill you can imagine. As a parent of a child with special needs, it has truly been a lifesaver and spared me countless moments of stress and tears. I will most likely cry when this wet vac reaches the end of its life.

Reliable and Works Great!

Hoover

This machine worked great! My carpet looks new again and so does my sofa. I used the Great Value brand carpet cleaner also. I pretreated the tougher stains with OxiClean spray. I am super happy with the result. I recommend running the machine over your carpet with just water after shampooing. Dirt will stick to the leftover shampoo residue if you don't. That is with any shampoo.

Fantastic

It really nice compared to the older type carpet cleaners Hoover use to sell. It's somewhat quiet, the green plastic catcher inside the dirty water tank is something new now it seems, it seems to work well so far and will suck up the excess water in the carpet too. So far this review is finished. I may update though

Hoover has come farther

The first time I used it was amazing! The handle keeps popping off constantly but it cleaned very well. Just used it a second time and now the dirty water is pouring out of the back of it and I'm afraid it's getting in the motor. The stopper that plugs off the dirty water tank when it fills up doesn't work now. So it's basically useless now. The handle sucks and now nasty water pours out the back even if the dirty water tanks is less than half full. I'm constantly emptying it and going back over it to get the nasty water back up. Other than that it worked amazingly at cleaning carpet.

Worked great the 1st time. After that it's awful

Very disappointed with this machine! Purchased this June 9th 23, go to use it for the first time ever June 15th, and the release pedal keeps coming off! It leaks water down the back of machine even though the water tank is seated properly.
And when trying to contact Hoover Customer Service (at 3:00 pm eastern time) phone says I've called after hours (they're supposed to be open until 6:00pm eastern time)!??
Wouldn't recommend wasting your money on this machine! I'm so disheartened to have purchased two of them. One for myself, the other for my daughter. $500 (for both machines) wasted!

Waste of money! Beware!!

It worked a few times then all of a sudden when I pulled the trigger for the water the clean tank completely drained all over my floor. I reached out to hoover and they refused to do anything about it saying it was my fault because I moved it to show them how it leaked all over the floor. They basically told me to bring it into one of their repair places and it might be fixed if it falls under a warranty issue. Stay far away from hoover.
