The HORI Nintendo Switch Split Pad Pro Ergonomic Controller for Handheld Mode makes it possible for me to play the switch as an handheld device. I cannot use the Joy Cons attached to the switch. they are designed for children with small hands.

I love the more ergonomic design of the “joy con/cortroller” it really helps for a gamer with carpal tunnel like myself. I don't see myself using anything other than these for handheld gameplay.

There are genuinely the most comfortable controllers for playing the switch off of its dock. If you are an anything older than a child these are infinitely more confortable to use. I have no idea why these are not the standard for Switch controllers.

It's great I thought it was the one my son could slide the screen into, but the controllers work just as well. And has more of an actual controller feeling to it. He loves it.

Great

I like these so much better than the original joy cons. Feels more like the type of controller I'm used to. They even make the Switch feel lighter and easier to hold. The only downside is that they make the Switch wider and can make it more difficult to transport, but that isn't a big deal for me.

Better than the original joy cons

Better than standard switch joycons, perfect grip for big or small hands and reliable joysticks and buttons. Perfectly cheaply priced and convenient for daily switch players.

Quality Product

These are great, but the only issue I have is that they make the entire Switch huge. This gives you less options for places to set it down safely - so I returned them and got the smaller model. Would 100% prefer this bigger model though if I'm recommended based on comfort only.

They're pretty big

I was told about this product because the M6  Mobapad was $50 more, at least.  construction feels deceptively flimsy, after gaming with it for 2 months I can attest that it holds up to the wear and tear of button mashing.  sadly due to switch updates the programmable buttons no longer work, but the buttons are solid. the only other complaint is that I like visible controllers, the black plastic with red lettering  is difficult to see unless your home has sufficient light.  buy it while you can.

It's kinda big and doesn't have its own batteries, but it's much more comfortable than the regular Joycons. The d-pad is much better than the Joycon's directional buttons, and the rights stick is not in the way of the ABYX buttons, like on the regular Joycons. I played Castlevania, SNES games, and Monster Hunter with this, and they played great.

Comfier than regular Joycons

As you can see from my photo, it left a scuff mark on my new Switch OLED.  Though the OG Switch and the enq OLED have the same thickness, the OLED model has a matted finish, which grinds against the backing support of the HORI Split Pad Pro.
