Reliability

I am very pleased with my HP laptop. It is easy to use, has a lovely large screen and is ideal for my everyday needs. I use my laptop for university studies, business administration, emails, research and preparing documents. The large display makes working on multiple tasks much more comfortable. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this laptop to anyone looking for a practical and reliable computer for work, studying and everyday use.

Excellent HP Laptop – Fast, Reliable and Easy to Use!

hp.com

I love it.

NOT Compatible with MOST of my 'Off-line' Games. Windows "compatibility' to older OS didn't help, either.

Disappointed

It feels and looks like a very cheap laptop. The keyboard letters are so badly printed in most lighting you can't see them. When it goes in to sleep mode you have to complete shut it down and restart. Other then that works fine. Not had issues with the soft were. Running speed seems ok. Speakers aren't great but never are on computers. Plenty of storage space. Easy to set up.

Not the best

Internal functionality and size are excellent. External functionality is seriously flawed in two ways. Basically, the laptop can only be used in full light. First, and unbelievably, the color of the keys and the imprinted letters, numbers, digits and symbols are to close in color and bleed into each other making them hard to distinguish in other than a brightly lit room. Should have stuck to the tried and true: black keys and white imprints or similar offset colors! Second major functionality flaw is that keys are not back lit for use in low light areas. I have not had a lap top in at least 10 years that did not have backlit keys. These two items should be standard on any lap top key board. I would return it if I could for those reasons. It has severely restricted my ability and freedom to use it as my needs see fit. I'm restricted to daytime work or finding brightly lit rooms to work on it.

Excellent bit two major functionality flaws

The wifi keeps disconnecting and it states:
Problems found
The default gateway is not available

Since day one that I opened this item it started doing this. I would like to return this if this doesn't get resolved. We have multiple gadgets at home and our wifi is running perfectly. Every time my laptop disconnects, I and my roommates would immediately check our phones and iPads if we are connected- it's only this HP laptop that keeps disconnecting. It's very frustrating when I'm working.

Wifi disconnecting

The newer computers force you to subscribe even if you don't want.

Forced sale

Well, here I am with my second laptop purchase from Walmart. The first laptop went bust after 4 years and now this HP one is just itching to die on me, I can just feel it. It's slow and gives me major trouble after a new microsoft update. I literally broke down in tears. It was my second week and it already gave me trouble by being slow and blocking me from using it because it was unable to let the microsoft update take its course. The make is also very flimsy. It's think and very lightweight. I doubt it will survive any drop on the carpet or harder surfaces. I would not recommend this laptop.

Flimsy, light laptop and super slow!

I communicate a lot by email and am so frustrated by the cursor jumping about for no apparent reason resulting in the text appearing in the middle of previous sentences.     Also letters appear that I have not typed.     Whole sentences or parts of sentences suddenly disappear.     At the slightest pause, everything disappears into Drafts.
My son gave me a new computer as the old one was so slow but I am spending so much time correcting or trying to find my work that it is more time consuming than the old computer.

Laptop problems

The laptop keeps restarting every few minutes, causing Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to close or disappear unexpectedly. I also have to repair Microsoft 365 at least twice a day just to keep the programs working. This has become a recurring issue and needs to be permanently resolved.

Many issues
