HP ink seems to top all the other generic ones in terms of quality and assurance of correct fit. It lasts longer also. The only thing we are really disappointed in is that the price seems to have doubled, but not sure it is the fault of HP, with everything going on in our world.

I have owned several printers (laserjet, inkjet, commercial, etc) from several different manufacturers over the last 15 years. I switched to an HP printer Envy4501 (my first HP) in November. With other printers even if I chose black ink only, it still drained my color cartridge. By far the HP ink has been the most affordable cartridge, and has lasted the longest. I now feel that I don't have to be as cost conscious when we are printing. I am sold!

Easy to install, great quality, inexpensive

Purchased to have on hand for a spare. Have never had any problems with HP products. This is the only brand of ink I buy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] it was exactly what I needed. I would have liked to order more than one, but only one was available.

The ink did not last long at all.  The ink cartridge should have lasted longer.  We don't know how many pages we got but it only lasted a month with intermittent use.

Ink Cartridge

I picked this HP Cartridge - Black %23 61 from Linden on 1/21/26 and I installed it in my printer today. It is half full and very very light - cannot read the print. I think the ink has dried out.

Can you please  REFUND OR  REPLACE  THIS. Thank you.

my biggest complaints were
price
and low volume 
also that HP would not allow you to use different more affordable cartridges which is ridiculous when you purchased a printer. Its actually keeping them from free market competition and limits owners choices. if cartridges were affordable the vompwtition would be won.

After several years using this very same cartridge , it said it was not compatible. Wasted a lot of time and money and had to buy another printer. What is going on ? If your printer is fine why should HP be able to make you buy a new printer. I am 70 years old and been using HP all my life so now that really makes me frustrated !

Frustrated !

I purchased on 10/28/2025 and had to reorder on 12/27/25. The ink cartridge usually las 6-8 months. It was for my home computer that I rarely print more than one  or two pages at a time.  I believe it said it should print at least 175 pages and I only printed maybe 40.  I will not order jy ink from Walmart again.

bad ink cartridges

HP sells inexpensive printers and then has outrageously expensive ink. I hate this company. I don't know that any others are any different, but it is maddening to have to spend 15.00 or 30.00 on varying sizes of powdered ink that probably costs the company next to nothing. The whole thing is a scam.

Does the ink work? Yes.
