The printer works great and the colour looks phenomenal. The setup guide was easy to follow and I had the printer prepared in no time. It’s overall beautiful to work with and I’m very satisfied with my purchase. However, the ink cartridges seem to deplete at a fast rate according to the estimate on the HP app, as I only printed roughly 3/4 page of colour, and the meter on the bar was already down about 30 %. I expected the ink cartridge to last longer.

Wonderful to use, but ink seems to deplete fast

First, for the price I paid, this is an incredible value. This printer is a replacement for my HP Envy 5540 that stopped working by refusing to initialize when powered.
The new 2842e is very similar, if not a tad faster when printing. The top located buttons provide a quick access to some features, more importantly the photocopying ability.
It is also very quiet.
The only down side is that I lost the clever duplex printing the 5540 had and the smaller volume.
Overall, an excellent product at an affordable price point.

High Bang for The Buck

I love this printer.  It's so nice and compact you don't need a lot of space for it.  But the best part is how easy it was to install and to begin using.  Why are other printers so hard to install?  What a nice surprise to get all that ink as well.  I will never buy another brand of printer again.

HP DeskJet 2855e Wireless All-in-One Colour Inkjet

this printer wastes paper and ink. brand new and it's non-stop printing errors. try to print anything over 2 pages and the printer stops 1/3 to 1/2 way while printing the page it's on. takes forever to scan a single page. It will however print off 3 pages of errors everytime you cancel a print with no issue.

save your money

With printer purchase, HP advertises free ink for 3 months with instant ink free trial subscription. This claim is false advertising!  If you cancel the trial subscription after the 3 months or anytime, HP deactivates all ink cartridges they already sent you and these ink cartridges become useless!

False Advertising About Free Ink

The HP DeskJet 2852e is a complete waste of money.
It’s slow, loud, and somehow makes printing a single page feel like a high-stakes technical operation. It sounds like it’s chewing rocks and takes forever to spit out basic black-and-white text.
The Wi-Fi connection is a disaster. It constantly drops offline, refuses to connect when you need it most, and forces you into app gymnastics just to do the one thing it was designed to do. I didn’t sign up to be tech support for my own printer.
And the “3 months free Instant Ink”? That’s just a shiny distraction from how unreliable this thing is.
If frustration had a mascot, it would be this printer. Don’t waste your time or money.

Complete Garbage

Well, This is the first time I have had some many issues with linking up and getting my printer to function properly. I am still having issues and just cannot get things to work right and have had so many problems with a virtual agent. I have not been able to connect to an actual agent.

Functionality issues

Does not work as a Printer on the  network only cloud base through the HP app and have to be logged into an HP account , not for me. I need t o print from a variety of sources not logged in to HP..  Also specs for MAC OS are wrong , Thanks for letting me return this Walmart.

No Print if not married to HP..

It is very difficult to connect the printer. Once connected to the network, it simply disconnects and I have to start the process again to recognize the printer via the HP application. I bought this printer as a student who wanted to print several documents a few times a week, this purchase does not suit me at all. In addition, it is important to check your internet connection because the printer does not connect to 5Ghz, which I would have liked to know before I get it.

The worst purchase...

The only thing it printed w info page brand  new a month..2new cartridges..light blinks
all the time..I’m ready to throw it off a balcony as another did..(true) 
I have used all the booting solutions I can..I was so pleased I c print from my IPad both r connected to WIF n it won’t print.
