Bought this to replace an older HP that cost over double of this one. Very easy to setup. I like that it has two paper trays. We sometimes print on letter head paper so it is easy to switch from trays depending on what paper it is needed on.  Also trays can be used for legal size paper as well. Very happy with purchase after using daily for three weeks.

Great printer, great price

VERSATILITY 
I like that three paper sizes are available whenever I need it. I can be anywhere in my house and print. It prints and scans fast.  The versatility with scanning various sizes of paper is great and effortless. I also love that I can print from my computer, iPhone or iPad. No ink smudges. Almost as sharp as a laser printer. 

To date, I have had no problems with it at all. I purchased the same printer for my office and have had the same results. I highly recommend this printer.

This printer exceeded our expectations.  When we were looking for a replacement for our 4-in-1 that broke, we initially liked the 11x17 color printing this offered at a nice price.  However, it also offers ease of installation, quality prints, and fast printing.  Only downfalls are its HP smart print interface, the 11x17 bottom drawer sticking out a bit when filled with paper, and the pricey ink.  But overall, it's a great value at the price!

Good Printer at Awesome Price

I wanted an 11x17 capable printer to produce posters, etc. As well as an all in one for daily tasks. So far it has produced excellent prints and the setup was simple. My only difficulty so was in getting the scanner to use the document feeder for multiple pages. I had to put each one on the glass. Printer is sturdy and well built for rugged use.

Great printer

Clunky plastic but it's the only way to make an inexpensive printer.  Some plastic on plastic parts don't 'pull-out' easily. like the trays, etc. And if you load the bottom tray with 11 x 17 (which you can do) and is a great feature, then that tray 'sticks' out a few inches and sorta gets in the way of the top tray. It takes a long time to simply make a copy. It seems like it has to think, cogitate and make odd noises before your copy spits out! Great to be able to scan 11 x 17 at this price... Setup is sort off a no-brainer but the way it prompts you to do it, you end up doing the setup twice.  It's probably why I prefer Apple engineering.
Had it for only 3 weeks but so far no problem. DO NOT subscribe to HP's ink subscription service. It's costly and oddly configured. Just skip that part and buy your own ink when you run out.

Good but so much thin plastic

I bought this item because of its large format capability, specifically the 11 X 17.  I am very happy with unit overall, but wish it had a tray that would hold 11 X 17 paper.  As it is, that size utilizes the form feed tray, and requires manual set up each time.  That's not a big deal, but is a minor inconvenience.

11x17 form feed

I needed a wide format printer, and due to the recent experience with HP, I was going to purchase the Epson. Unfortunately,  I had no choice but to choose HP due to available stock.  I like the volume of printing, and the black ink lasted for about 3000 pages; duplex printing is also good, while connected via USB. But HP's wireless connectivity is the most unreliable and troublesome. The reason why I was exploring the EPSON.  I have an excellent internet connection, including a professional-grade WiFi booster. The lag between pressing print and the printer located just about three feet from the PC is very long, coupled with constant paper size error messages makes it even worse.
Additionally, the print driver software, i.e., automatically choose paper size, does not work. I get the error message that the paper size mismatch error for tray 1. Furthermore, when you cancel a print job, the printer seems to lose its mind. The screen shows the same paper mismatch message; after depressing the X, the printer would cycle through two sheets of blank paper, and the message would appear again. It will do this for about three cycles or six sheets before it clears itself. Uh.. seven times, it seems as I am typing this. Another connectivity pain point is the inability to connect via hardwire and WiFi at the same time; this feature was possible with the 8310 series. The scanning quality of a simple medical form was awful compared to other HP products. Documents came out unreadable even after adjustments. We scanned the same document with another all in one unit, and it was perfect. The only reason I have not returned this printer is that stores are low on stock due to COVID-19, and there is a rush to set up home offices, and the EPSON product has been back-ordered for some time now. I should also say that we are a fairly technical bunch. I wish I had purchased a sledge hammer with it as well.

HP7740 only if you have no other choice

I ordered the printer and it was damaged so I asked for a replacement. The second was delivered damaged so I just returned it and asked for a refund. I am so disappointed in Walmart and I'm still waiting for my refund.
