Setup takes around 5-10 minutes with straightforward instructions.

Comes with a two-year supply of black and color inks.

Set-up Was easy.  The printer is fast and prints beautiful copies.  I have used the scanner option to upload documents to my HP laptop.  The ink tanks are economical compared to my previous HP All-In-One printer with ink cartridges.  My family and I are enjoying this printer.

I bought this a couple of months ago as previous showed jam even though there isn’t. Time I paid for someone to fix it I thought as such a good price I would buy a newer model. I haven’t used it much yet but seems good and faster than last one. Will be using a lot over the coming couple of months so hopefully I will be happy

Good all rounder

After I finally managed to set up the printer ( it took me ages but that might be more a comment on my tech skills!) I am very pleased with it. It does what it should do.

V very good printer

I very much like the Hp Smart Tank 7001 Printer overall. However, I'm disappointed with the very small viewing window which displays info. I have to get very close to view the info and settings. Much smaller than my last printer. I also experience some connectivity issues  from time to time from my smart phone to the printer. I've had connectivity issues on all of my previous HP Printers.

This printer is great especially using the smart ink refillable tanks, but it’s missing a tray for photo paper only which in my opinion would make this the perfect printer I know there is a model with one that’s more expensive I just want this one at this price to have the tray photo paper other than that go get you one of these if you don’t care about photo paper.

Great but one thing missing..

The printer has performed so far. It is used light duty. First experience with ink tank vs ink cartridges. Will see when it comes time to refill tanks compared with plugging in a cartridge. Physical setup is not plug and play. Must assemble heads and fill tanks. Fairly simple for me but not my wife. It was the only printer that is backward compatible with my Windows 7. Print quality is very good and print speed is fast.

Can't get it to work with HP Smart app
Need to use desktop app and toolbox to access printer
But it scans and prints.  Just not from Android phone.

Many workarounds

Not easy to set up and wifi won’t stay connected have to turn on when in the room but does print well

I'm happy with the printer now I did have to uninstall it as it did not print in colour to start with once reinstalled it now prints in colour

Very clear printing

The quality of print is good when the printer is connected via a usb cable.
The Direct Wi-Fi does not work. Anyone who needs this direct Wi-Fi function would be advised to purchase an Epson Printer since it does work on Epson.

I bought this printer as a replacement for my HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus which died. When the shipment arrived, I checked to ensure that the outside Walmart shipping box was not damaged in any way. I opened up the HP printer box to remove the HP printer. I followed the setup procedure as noted in the owners manual. Everything was fine until I had to fill up the paper tray with paper. I noticed that the paper tray was cracked
