My internal CD ROM drive quit working, so I bought this external drive to replace it.  As soon as it was delivered, I connected it to my computer very easily.  Inserted my Turbo Tax CD and it worked perfectly.  It is good quality, yet small and light, and unlike some drives, it runs very quietly.   And very reasonably priced too.  In fact, I prefer it over the internal drive.  Good product!

My new HP laptop didn't have an internal disc drive.  I purchased this one  to have this very useful function  on my computer.  Works well.

Disc  It

Bought this for my new hp laptop. It was quick and easy to use. Just plugged it in to usb port. The only thing i would've liked different is the color. My laptop is silver.  It works great and its really thin.

Excellent DVD drive!  HP always makes them good and simple to use.  Played ten movies on it already.  Great product.

Just keeps on playing and playing.  Excellent.

Easy plug and play with compact design.  Still could have had startup instructions.

Product blurb indicates that software is included with the drive but there was none included in the packaging. Subsequent phone call to HP did not result in any help so I returned the product. The unit will play cd's but software is required to play dvds.
