I got this new one to replace the previous one by Hooever from 20 years ago. I am very happy that the new one has improved a lot: easier to use, weighs less and costs less.  The materials used for the older one seems sturdier.  I hope this new one lasts as long. Thank you!

We bought the Floor Mate for the tile on the 7-1 and we were sufficiently impressed with the results that we bought the Turbo Carpet Scrub machine on the 11th. What a difference they made in our home. It had been a couple of years since we'd had the carpets done and frankly I wasn't looking forward to having my home disturbed again by a bunch of strangers. We vacuum every week but I couldn't believe the amount of dirt that had accumulated in the carpets especially in the high traffic areas. They not only look newer but we aren't sniffling all the time with what the doctors call 'allergies.' It's a win win all the way around and it beats a scrub brush and a pail any day.

I've had several carpet cleaners over the years, and many had poor designs where parts would easily break off or just fall apart. This new modular design makes it easy to completely clean the unit after use. As for cleaning quality, it has great suction and power. Always vacuum first, use water only on the first pass as you would when you wash your car by wetting it down first, then use cleaning solution after spot treatments if needed, then rinse with cold water at least once, then go back over it to pull out any remaining moisture to speed drying. Place pieces of aluminum foil under furniture legs to prevent damage to the furniture and the wet carpet. I also use this unit for my tile floors and my vehicles. If I had something negative to say about this cleaner, it would be that it doesn't do all the work for me while I watch. Perhaps a future feature?

Finally a design that is perfect!

During all the time at home recently, I decided to clean my own carpets throughout the house. Our carpets were cleaned a year ago by a commercial cleaning company. This time, the 12 year old carpets came out much cleaner and I could do them at my own pace.

Very easy to use and very effective cleaning carpet.

I bought this a few days ago and used it today for the first time. I wanted a steam cleaner primarily for my carpeted stairs that wouldn't break my back to use. The attachments for this machine are PERFECT for the job! My rugs haven't been cleaned in years, but this first use - I used the mini scrub brush for the wash and the carpet brush for the water rinse - has removed all those years of dirt!! And I love the crevice attachment that allows me to pull up any dirty water along the edges. I am SO impressed with this machine. I can't wait to tackle my couch tomorrow! Definitely a fabulous purchase. This machine RULES!

Simply fabulous!

I only used this Hoover carpet cleaner once.  I had to install the handle which took a couple of screws to secure it.  It is similar to my older model. However, this one has 2 compartments for the clean water.  One side has the water with soap, and the other side has the rinse water.   Overall it works well, but this one as with any other hoover cleaner I have used, seems to leave the carpet more wet than I desire.   I need to use box fans to blow air over the carpet areas that I cleaned.

Worked great the first time

Machine works okay, but more labor intensive when rinsing carpets after washing than i anticipated.  The water/ soap container is also tricky to install after filling.

Bought this and noticed brushes are not spinning, after reviewing the technology of this unit the turbos spin the brushes based on the suction of the machine, long pile carpets dosen't allow it to build enough suction to spin them. Hoover should be required to disclose that!!!!!

Sucks on long pile carpets!

Used this thing maybe 3 times in the last year. Tried to use it today and the brushes won't spin. Just like the last Hoover we owned. I won't buy another Hoover. There are YouTube videos and all kinds of other article on line about this issue. Wish I would have seen these first. Total junk. Good luck if you buy one. Hopefully you don't have my luck.

It worked twice and then the next two times I used it, it had no suction. I cleaned all of the pieces, took the parts apart, and put them back together countless times. Nothing seems to work and there are hardly any resources online to help me. It is extremely frustrating.
