This Hamilton Beach 14 Piece Cutlery Set is a great kitchen cutlery set for any kitchen. The knives are made with 2.2 mm stainless steel and have stainless steel handles. The set includes an 8 inch Chef knife, an 8 inch bread knife, a 7 inch santoku knife, a 5 inch utility knife, a 3.5 inch paring knife, a pair of kitchen scissors, a sharpening / honing steel and 6 x 4.5 inch steak knives. All of these are carefully set in a rubber wood veneer knife block.  The perfect set for the frequent user, with the quality you expect from the name Hamilton Beach.

Great price, shipped quickly and great quality!

Worth it!

I've been using this set for almost 4 months now. After 2 months, the knife block started to split at the seem where I guess the two parts are glued together. I tried contacting Hamilton Beach and have not heard back. I thought the knives were great too, but after a few months, they started to rust. I don't use a dishwasher, so they are always air dried. I learned that the water pools inside the handle because there are gaps, so now I've started to air dry them upside down (handle up) instead of laying them flat. 

If you're on a tight budget, I guess they are okay. If you want something more long term (like in my case), I say try looking elsewhere.

Great price, but quality isn't great!

The blades cut good but the handle has a opening for that collects some water when washed so when you tip it water streams out of the handle

its an amazing deal for the prize but the knives are not very sharp. could have been better

mediocre quality

The package did look like a returned one from another buyer. Also the wooden block that came with the set was chipped at many places. Had to return it and buy other brand from a different store.

Knives that tear

We bought these when we moved into our place 6 months ago.  I noticed immediately that there is a gap in all the knives where the blade meets the handle that collects water so even after they've air dried, they're still wet in there and that soaks into the wood block.  They also discoloured almost immediately (the steak knives worse than the other), I've already had to throw one out due to so much rust on the blade.  I would not recommend them.  I haven't had any cutting issues but we do sharpen them on a regular basis.

Does the Job but not well made

I bought these a few weeks ago, finally used them the other day. The knives cut amazingly but all of them have rusted the first time I washed them.
