Very nice appliance for the price.  The spring pop-up feature is wound tightly and I had a small piece of toast almost land on my plate at which point I would have given six stars! The gloss black (plastic) outer casing fits with any decor and incidental white Hamilton Beach logo on the side is very elegant touch.

I just wanted a simple two slice toaster with the ability to push a button  to eject the toast sooner. You can also pull up on the handle to give you a little extra gripping room to get the toast out of the toaster. So easy!  No  complicated electronic gadgetry. Inexpensive and dependable.

PROS:
This model has been around for several years now, and it is still one of the better Hamilton Beach 2 slice toasters. It toasts evenly IMO and also has a simplified toasting button.  It also pops up 96% of the time when using larger bread or bagels. 

What I have learned over the years is that the more the bread or bagel is toasted, the more likely it will pop up all the way. This is due to a simple fact that when a piece of toast is done, it's smaller in width and size and harder so it will allow the toaster sides to move it up to the top. 

If your toast does not go up all the way, don't worry, this model has the extended lift so you can manually move it up to remove your toast.

Highly recommend this "model" toaster. There are other Hamilton Beach toasters for less money however they will disappoint you in the end.

CONS:
The power cord should be in the rear of the toaster not the front.

This toaster does what it should do! TOAST!

This is a very good basic toaster.  It has wide slots that can accommodate homemade bread or English muffins.  It cooks evenly and dependably every time.  The lifting feature is good for protecting fingers.  This is the second time I have purchased this model.

Great toaster.

Nicw size for my small apartment kitchen with not much counter space. Narrower than a cool touch but the sides don't get hot. First time it popped up toast in was loud and powerful. Just wasn't expecting it. I really like this basic toaster that gets the job done. And it was on sale.

Perfect little toaster.

The Hamilton Beach 2-Slice Toaster with Extra-Wide Slots, Toast Boost, and Removable Crumb Tray, Black was only $19.59.  What a great price.  I love the Toast Boost feature that allows you to raise small pieces of bread (english muffins, for instance) up an inch or so after it is done toasting.  Then you can safely get it out of the toaster.  I no longer have to unplug a toaster and stick a utensil in to extract my english muffin.  I have been using this toaster for 3 weeks and am completely happy with it.

Toast Boost is a great new feature

Really like this toaster, i own one and have bought it for others. It cleans up very easily; the crumb tray slides out-love that feature. Wide slots and for the small kitchen with very little counter space it doesn't take up a lot of space. Has plenty of settings for how toasted you like your bread and i like the rounded sides of this toaster. It's pleasing to look at.

what  a beautiful  toaster, nice size,not huge looking on the counter, it has a strong smell at first, after the first burn it went away, the line on the knob is hard to see, so I  painted the line, everything  works as expected, i like that it has a pull out tray  for  crumbs not a fall out  latch  door crumb mess on the bottom

Simple Black Toaster

you get what you pay for.  toasts extremely uneven %26 some areas, not at all.  i have to continally rotate the bread to get it toasted in some way.  the lever does not raise the toast high enough to pull out %26 rotate it so I have to hook it out with a fork.  the cancel button you have to push with force %26 it moves the entire t8n can toaster.   Do yourself a favor %26 spend more for a quality toaster.
