All of a sudden food steamers seem to have become "fashionable" and the prices reflect the trend.  I wanted a basic steamer, as I've used for years, and was disappointed by Amazon's version.  Didn't expect to find one on WalMart online, so very happy and pleased with the performance and operation of this unit.  It also has a FIVE year warranty in Canada - outstanding!

We are enjoying this steamer.  We food prep and have a large volume of vegetables to prepare weekly - this has made the work much less time consuming. If I had a complaint, the electrical cord is not long enough and we had to rearrange the kitchen to accommodate the steamer properly due to the cord.

arrived on time and notified by Walmart.  the steamer works well but the plastic  tiers feel a little cheap.

This 3-tier steamer works as advertised, but I’m disappointed with the fragile plastic bowls. This type of plastic cracks easily, as I’ve experienced with similar products before. I mostly use one bowl and only need all three for special occasions. Another issue is the lack of interchangeable bowls – the bottom doesn’t fit on the top, and so on. If one bowl breaks, you’re stuck replacing the whole unit. For the price, it could be more durable and versatile. Other than that it works as expected.

Factory Defect 1 layer is missing

I have had several food steamers over the years and this one has to be the worst product I have ever used. The plastics used for the trays and the lid is brittle. In fact the lid cracked within 2 weeks of owning the product and I am not convinced that there is a long life ahead for this product. The lid is also poorly designed, as it gets locked in place when hot so you cannot lift the lid to check on food you are cooking as the fragility of the lid precluded pulling on it.  I have also found that steam builds up on the inside of the digital display, which means the electronics are likely to short out in soon as well. Skip this product, there has to be better ones out there. Sadly i lost my receipt or I would pack it back to Walmart as I have the biggest case of buyers remorse ever.
