This coffeemaker is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a coffeemaker that used the cone type filters, that was simple to use. As an added bonus the color matched the color that my wife wanted in her kitchen. I've had the coffeemaker less than a week but it works like one I had been given when I began ordering coffee online. Bottom line, the coffee tastes great!

Exactly what I was looking for

I bought the original Hamilton Beach 12-cup Coffee maker years ago, and it lasted for over a decade. This is an upgraded model, and works even better! I like the cone filter feature (as opposed to a basket filter).

The carafe is well-marked and the coffee doesn't drool out when you pour from it. The programmable feature/clock is an LCD readout and is not very bright, but that's a minor detail. Coffee maker automatically shuts off after two hours, which is an important safety feature.

All in all, this coffee maker makes a decent cup of coffee, and Walmart's price and shipping was reasonable and fast!

Quality coffee at a reasonable price

I was searching for a product that was simple to use, made good coffee and was at a reasonable price. This product seems to meet my criteria. It even makes better coffee than our previous machine -- no more grounds floating in the coffee. Brews coffee quickly, which is a good thing in our house. I would definitely recommend this coffeemaker.

Decent product

This unit replaces a 6 year old similar model / Hamilton Beach 12 cup programmable coffee server... which served well until the plastic handle detached from the Silex pot. This new model has corrected that "weak point" and I trust will serve many years... (Make a pot of vinegar/water at least every 6 month to keep the maker clean and sweet.)

an excellent brewer!

We purchased this coffeemaker because the one button type Hamilton Beach was out of stock. I am glad we did get this one, with the automatic 2 hour shut off it makes for one less worry and no "burnt" coffee lol. We may never use the programmable functions, but tried it once to see how well it worked - flawlessly. I have to say the clock and programmable function are very easy to set.
We needed to update our trusty 10 year old B&D $15 maker and wanted to try the "cone" type filter. I thought it was all hype about a better brew with a cone filter, but it did make our everyday coffee have a smoother taste and don't ask how but killed the bitter aftertaste we have been experiencing with our brand lately.
So far so good with it after 2 weeks, and it is a good value for only the auto shut off - a bonus if you use the programmable function!

Like the ease of operation!

In the past, I had an expensive Cuisinart coffeemaker. After 8 years, I had to put it to rest. A friend recommended this Hamilton Beach model, so I decided to buy it. It is very modestly priced, and I honestly can't tell the difference in the taste of my coffee with this product versus the much more expensive models! I think I just always assumed I would have to spend more money for a great cup of coffee, but this Hamilton Beach coffeemaker has changed my way of thinking. Give it a try! You won't be disappointed!

Great Coffeemaker!

Makes coffee super fast- way faster than the Mr. Coffee that it replaced (which cost $80 at WalMart). The cone filter is a superior design compared to the 'cup' filter of most makers. The water level markers do not match 100% as 10 cups in the glass carafe shows as ~10.75 cups on the side of the coffee maker... but hey, close enough for $25!!! Will see how long it lasts...

Faster Brew!

I bought one of these a year ago and like it so much that I bought another one for the vacation home. I've always liked the coffee makers that use the cone shape filters, the coffee does taste better! And you can't beat the price!

Great coffee maker

I live everything except how the top opens to fill pot. It is kind of awkward since you have to move spout over grounds to fill.

I ordered this Hamilton Beach Coffee Maker because it looked similar to the kind I had before, it was also a Hamilton Beach, just the old Black Basic model, no Clock or Timers, just made great Coffee and I loved it. I could not find one anywhere. I also wanted the same type of Cone Filters. I thought this one would be ok, ugh, too tall and Skinny, spills every time you Pour, just don't like it.
I hope they still make the old kind, I'm watching for it.
