It's a little early for a review since I just received it and used it only once to whip potatoes.  It is heavier than cheaper models, though not as heavy as I expected from the other reviews.  Even with my small hands it's comfortable to hold and use.  Seems well made. The beaters eject easily at the push of a button (one of my pet peeves is when you have to man handle them to get them out - not with this one - it's simple!). The speeds are good; the case is a must for humid, salt air living, and it's easy to open and shut once you find the technique.  So far I am well pleased with it.  While the stainless steel shows fingerprints,  I think that's a good reminder to clean it every time before putting it away.  Happy, so far!

I've only used this twice for cake mixes, and it worked just fine. The beaters feel heavy duty. There are 3 different ones that come with it. The mixer is a bit heavy, but you can let it rest on the bowl and rotate the bowl to thoroughly mix all of your ingredients. The cord is very long. The storage case it comes in is handy. I like how the mixer looks.

Works Well

I was looking for a heavy duty hand mixer. After researching on the web, I discovered this great hand mixer. I've used it to make cakes, pie filling and mashed potatoes so far with excellent results. The motor is stronger and tackles the job with less "bog down" than previously owned hand mixers. Also the three different attachments make it a versatile appliance. I'm very pleased so far!

Just What I Was Looking For....

Love this mixer! Found exact mixer at department store for $75. Walmart's price, $26. Wow. Ordering easy. Shipping prompt and even arrived early. If you haven't tried Walmarts online ordering, you don't know what you're missing.

superb price

This mixer is great for all kinds of freestanding use ... mashed potatoes, packaged mixes, more. I wanted (and got) a serious stand mixer for baking, but it didn't meet our more flexible needs, so bought this in addition to the stand mixer. Absolutely!!! worth the price! (although ... still trying to figure out the purpose of the wire beaters ... ? Like the whisk, though! :D )

enjoyed using mixer with high speed . the appearance of the mixer was amazing (stainless steel) The cord attachment with the storage case was great and makes it easy to store in cabinet or countertop or etc.the price was the best i seen in comparing with other brands and stores.

I like the basic features and the price of this mixer. The rating was reduced to four stars due to 1) the thin wire beater does not beat eggs to my satisfaction and the wider bladed beater is only passable for making eggnog frothy. 2) the storage case that comes with the beater for storage of the five beaters (one is whisk) and the cord does not easily attach to the beater. I have yet to get it to attach. And if it did attach,  it would not store well in my limited pullman type kitchen. In fact the beater itself seems much too large as compared to the little beater that did so well for about 65 years. I do not mix dough, so if I did I would probably understand that the motor is much larger. and more powerful. 3) The speed control is less than smooth and switching to the 5th or sixth level, the beater stops completely. The beater detachment button works well.

Is there a hand held beater that I would like better? Since I couldn't try out two or three, I don't know. I am satisfied sufficiently to keep the one I purchased. The ease of buying online from Walmart and having the product shipped to my Senior Living apartment is a real plus

This is a great hand mixer, just a little heavy. I knew that when I bought because I had read the reviews about it but didn't realize how heavy it was. Even though it is heavy that is really the only thing wrong with it, still very good product for the price

Mixer is great, does what it is supposed to do. The storage unit that is separate does not fit very well and is awkward to try to snap on the bottom of the mixer, defeats it's own purpose of trying to make things easier. Overall would buy again ! :)

MIxer

This mixer works great. I have a Kitchenaid stand mixer for most of my big baking endeavors, but sometimes I just want a quick mixer to whip up something in a hurry. However, it is really heavy. Holding it up for too long is tiring. I almost returned it due to the weight (hence the minus 1 star), but just decided to keep it since it worked so well.

The beaters do not lock into position. They kept falling out. The cookie dough kept going all the way up the beaters. Not happy about the performance.
