I am delighted to find this mixer. When my old one burned out, I was amazed to find the only new ones available were heavy and expensive. I tried Kitchen Aid and it is so heavy to use that it sits on my counter as an ornament. The stores don't carry this kind of mixer any more. You had a cheaper one for black friday and there is another out there now, but I suppose that is only for the holidays. I wish mixers came with two bowl sizes as the old ones did.

Great Find

My wife loves this mixer! I bought her a more expensive model which she had me return for this one. It detaches and becomes a hand mixer in addition to being a stand mixer. It works by rotating the bowl instead of having a sophisticated mixing movement. It does what it is supposed to, looks great, and was a fraction of the cost of higher end mixers. We are not an industry and do light baking, so it is a perfect product for us. My wife loves it!

Purchased as a Gift

I am not a baker, but I used this 5 times in the first week. Mostly because I always wanted one and was trying to find things to make with it. Baking is so much fun with this. made cupcakes, made a cake,  making cookies today. Mixed other things in it just for fun. I chose this one because again I am not a baker and did not want to invest hundreds on basically a mixer on a stand. I also chose it because it is small and light weight. I dont like having things on my counter, ever. I remove the mixer put it in the bowl and put the entire thing away in a cupboard. Works for me. Loading the mixer to the stand is still a little tricky. I'll have to get the hang of it, you have to line up the hooks and tilt back to snap it in. The button at the lower front that you see in the picture makes the bowl move from left to right bringing the bowl closer to the tools an back to center while the bowl and tools both spin.  The black circular part under the bowl spins and turns really easily, it has multiple speed options. I am not looking at it now, but it may be 6 levels of slow to super fast. the neck of the mixer tilts back with the push of a button. Another button releases the tools. The tools go in easily. Nothing not to like about it. It does its job well enough for me. Money well spent.

I am a home baker and just didn't have the money to spend on one of those high dollar stand mixers that charge you as much if not more for any and all accessories to go with it... I have been using a hand mixer or plain old elbow grease to get my baking needs done... An issue with my hands has forced me into using more "tools" to complete my tasks in the kitchen... I looked into several options and decided to try this one... As I have borrowed from my sister her higher costing and more heavy duty stand mixer in the past (Boy those things weigh a ton), I really wasn't expecting this one to perform like hers... It is light weight, a little flimsy in the turntable area, the multi-speed button sticks a little and kinda catches when trying to move the mixer into the "up" position... Over all though - It works and does the job well!!! It makes beautiful fluffy icing in a fraction of the time it took me to do it by hand... SO worth the price that I may buy a second one so I can whip up meringue and icing at the same time!!!

Good value!

I have only used the mixer once so far (for three recipes). It worked great: mixed a simple batter as well as kneaded dough well. I'm very happy with it. The only thing I wish it could do is have the kneading feature while on the stand (you have to hand-hold the mixer when kneading); but then again, at this price, I can happily live with that.

Great value, Low price

Nice mixer, will get the job done, stand and handle parts being made of plastic doubt that it would stand up to A LOT of use. But good enough for me and my occasional cooking chores. Doubt that you could beat the price. Bowl is a VERY thin light weight stainless, so doubt that it will take a lot of beating about, or it will dent. But again, gets the job done for me. I think if given proper care, it should last many yrs.

Good for the occasionall mixing use.

The mixer is difficult to attach and disconnect from the stand, especially when you are in the middle of a recipe and many thing are going on at the same time. The latch mechanism is not easy to use. Also there is quite a distance from the bottom of the beaters to the bottom of the bowl. Too bad the bowl cannot be raised and lowered on the stand. I will probably end up just using it as a hand mixer.

Does not work as well oa my old mixer

Im sure the product is ok but the one i recieved last week had been opened taken apart and repackaged. I cant beilieve walmart.com sent me a used and returned item! As u will note i have bought many items from this site with no complaints. But the condition this showed up in and the fact i had to go get another one and im out money i spent just makes me sick.

While mixing it only gets the middle even when moving the lever in the front. The bowl doesn't move side to side enough to get everything mixed in. I had to use a spatula to push everything towards the middle. I finally took it off the stand and did it by hand.

Not worth it

Mixer does not stay on stand. It does not properly lock in. The bowl has a pulse spin that causes the mixing to take longer. My previous stand mixer wore out and I needed to replace it immediately because I had cake orders. So I purchased this as a quick fix. It did not meet my needs. I returned it and bought a KitchenAid. The item looks very nice. The bowl is sturdy and the mixer seems to work pretty well, but it's a horrible buy as a stand mixer unit. I'm not a professional baker, but I've been baking for years and even as a non-professional this mixer was not worth it.
