My old toaster that I had had for 15 years finally broke down and actually I'm kind of glad because this Hamilton Beach one is so cute and it worked so well. I hope this one lasts for 15 years too thank you.

Walmart has got to Stop using lasership for delivery..I have not gotten 3 pkgs because they leave pkgs downstairs by mailboxes. And there are 100 apts here.i got toaster today because my neighbor was good enough to look at pkg and he brought  it to me..really tired of ordering and not getting packages..

UPSET

I like this toaster because the pan bread we eat,  fits in the slots perfectly.  I don't have to tear off the crusts to make it fit.  It doesn't toast evenly on both sides, but that isn't a new issue with toasters, it would seem.  I have tried 3 different brands in the last few years and they all appeared to have the same problem.

This is a bare bones toaster.  Nothing fancy. It's light weight. The first time I used it, it smell like something was burning.  The second time it was fine, maybe breaking it in. I bought it for my rv so I don't have to take my home toaster. It you want one for a family I would spend more money.

Bad design.  Doesn't toast both sides evenly.  Crumbs fall out of the bottom vents.  The release button and dial numbers are hard to see.  Try another one.

Not great.

VERY cute toaster for my kitchen. I bought this to match my red Keurig, my red microwave, my red can opener. It matches everything perfectly. Very easy to keep clean. HOWEVER I have the toaster on the darkest setting just to get a medium toast. I am wondering if maybe the toaster isn't 'primed' yet, like used enough to get it used to working. Almost like 'seasoning' a skillet if you will. lol not sure how else to describe that, lol. I would recommend it, just bring your patience, lol. Peace, love and brightest blessings to all!

Looks nice but be patient!

Got it and plugged it in to test. Pushed plunger down, popped back up, down, up over and over. Would not stay down no matter how hard I tried. Took back. Yes it was plugged in, yes the heaters worked when I held it down. Bought another brand, works fine.

Defective

So tired of wasting $$$ on crap.  Hamilton Beach, a name that once stood for quality, is now producing junk.  This toaster has no heft, no weight, just cheaply thrown together.  Both slots toast dark on one side and almost untoasted on the other.  The only good parts are the bottom that opens up to get rid of crumbs and there's a nifty Cancel button but that's not enough to make this worth the cost.  I did spend a couple of extra bucks on a warranty but why bother?  I'd probably end up with another that's just as bad if not worse.

Very disappointed

1-OPERATION: BREAD DOES NOT POP ALL THE WAY UP
2-APPERANCE: LOOKS CHEAP
3-BREAD: DOES NOT TOAST EVENLY
4-FOR BAGELS: THIS TOASTER CANNOT EVEN TOAST AN ENGLISH MUFFIN SO I KNOW IT WILL NOT OPEN WIDE ENOUGH TO TOAST A BAGEL
5- SIDES GET VERY HOT

I usually DO NOT write reviews but this toaster is horrible. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY on it. and Hamilton Beach will not answer your calls via recording.

Bad Toaster

This toaster model 22623 is awful. It doesn't toast equally on both sides, not all the elements heat and even at the highest settling it takes twice before it is toasted. Bought it because it was from Hamilton Beach, a name I respected, and because it is red. What a mistake.
