How I didn't know about this kettle before now!  This is like a Thermos.  The water stays hot for longer than normal kettles and the surface doesn't get hot so even if you touch it accidentally, you won't burn yourself.  Highly recommended to own one.

Elegant, Efficient, and Absolutely Essential!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I boil water every morning of my life to make my morning cup of tea. Having successfully accomplished this task for years with a tea kettle on the stove burner, I was skeptical about an electric kettle. Why would a long time tea drinker such as myself need one? However the 1.7 Liter Cool-Touch Digital Kettle has made me a believer. The kettle is incredibly quick, boiling water in less time than my gas range, and has the advantage of keeping the water hot for 30 minutes, at which time it shuts itself off. So there's no chance of a neglected kettle accidentally boiling dry and burning up on the stove top... not that I've ever done such a thing. Even if the Digital Kettle is accidentally turned on with no water in it, it will automatically switch off. The kettle is light weight, easy to fill and empty, and you can choose the exact temperature your beverage requires. I would highly recommend it. Just don't tell on me.

Heats very quickly and keeps the water warm once it hits the temperature you want. 
Easy to use.
Lots of different temperature options.
Haven't had to clean it yet, so can't speak to that, hopefully it's easy and the kettle won't get stained with watermarks.

Great Kettle!

The reason I gave 4 stars is because there is no way externally to see how much water is in the container. You have to open the lid to see how much water is left. Inconvenient, and potentially dangerous. 

Otherwise, it's excellent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really nice product. It heats up water very quickly- 1-2 minutes, and if you are a tea drinker, this is for you.  There are settings for  different teas - green, white, oolong, and black, as well as for French roast and boil; just press the mode button.  The kettle is cool to the touch. It looks good -very sleek and modern- too! I would have given it 5 stars but there is no water window.  Inside the kettle there is a line for maximum water depth, but there are no other lines for how much water to put in for just a cup or two.

Cool to the touch Kettle

Pros:  Nice looking kettle; very light weight; cool to the touch; quiet when boiling; easy to pour
Cons:  Kettle at first boiled to the 212 degree mark but after about 4 uses, it will only boil to 208-209 degrees now.  I checked the water temp with a kitchen thermometer and it registered 209.  In addition, the kettle rocks quite a bit on the base, which seems very unsafe.  It does this rocking with minimal water and with more water in the kettle. The base is the same size of the base of the kettle.  The kettle also disperses a lot of steam when boiling, much more than my previous kettle, which also makes it a bit unsafe.  I also miss having a window on the outside of the kettle to show water level and a lid that is removable.  This lid is not removable.  I ended up returning the kettle, especially at this price.

Pretty but not so effective

There is no mention anywhere in the manual that the kettle beeps every time you press a button and when the water is boiled (and no way to disable the beeping like some other kettles have). I wouldn't have purchased this if I knew it made loud beeping noises.
