I really like this thing. The capacity is huge for a home fryer, I did 2 dozen chicken wing segments in it to christen it without any problems at all. Takes a little longer to heat than an average fryer but that's to be expected as there is a lot of oil to get up to temperature. That being said, the oil temp doesn't drop a lot when you put your food in, again due to the large capacity of oil. It also has deep sides that results in most of the spatter being contained inside the fryer instead of making it's way to whatever surface you put it on. The only complaint I have is the chord is quite short but I just used an extension chord without any issues. I would highly recommend this

Large, holds heat, nice controls, great fryer

[Employee of walmartcanada] I bought this for my best friend for Christmas and she loves it! She made homeade chinese food and boy was it good. She made chicken balls and egg rolls in the deep fryer and they turned out beautiful. I would recommend this product to other people.

Great features!

We upgraded to this deep fryer and have used it a few times now. Our old deep fryer only had one setting... on so this one having an adjustable heat setting is great. It holds lots of french fries which is good if you are cooking for quite a few people. Love the fact that it comes with two smaller baskets as well. It is also so easy to clean.

Great deep fryer

I can say nothing wrong about this fryer. It is perfect for just about everything. The convenience of two baskets makes frying ten times better. You can also fry with just one but I like to cook my fries and cheese sticks at the same time. I love it!!

Good & well explained intructions ,

We just got this a few weeks ago and have used it several times. Heat up time is good, and it's easy to use. Not a fan of the break-away cord, but it stays attached quite well. Though I do think it may become a problem in the future.
Makes excellent home fries, and with the multiple baskets and sizes I can cook everything to each persons tastes.

Excellent Family size

We receive the family every Sunday for dinner and my 90-year-old mother, who doesn’t make fries, asks us regularly. Sometimes we are 4 and sometimes a lot more, that is when the different baskets are very useful.

Ideal capacity

Overall I’m happy with the purchase.  It’s a good size.  Only issue was all the steam towering to the ceiling when you put food in it and steam running down the sides once you take off the cover.  I’ll try cooking underneath my stove fan next time.

Hamilton Beach Fryer

This deep fryer is very well made but it is very heavy. Once you add a large bottle of oil (stand it in the fryar to test) the weight is far too much for me to lift into my appliance storage cupboard. It needs an empty and filled weight displayed on the box to help future customers. I am 81 years old and quite fit but I cannot handle such heavy appliances.

Lovely unit but very heavy when filled.

I was very excited to make this purchase, but when i tried to use it, it produced no power. I dont know if it is the plug, or the panel. Wal mart wont take it back because it is considered 'used'.
