Cord Design

Steam Performance

Value For Money

Cord management system allows for organized storage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love how the cord wraps around no retrace or long cord in the way when storing. Not heavy or bulky at all either.

Great iron

walmart.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new iron. It irons so smoothly and even has a place to wrap up and hide the cord. Very heavy duty.

Hamilton Beach iron

Great iron with great steam. I did a lot of comparison shopping amongst similar irons at a gamut of stores, and this is an excellent deal at this price point. Regarding the "Cord Management", I thought the iron had an automatic cord retract feature via inertia reel (like a car's seat belt works), but it is actually hand-wound with the white case serving as a cover. (my fault for not reading the description carefully, as it does in fact properly describe the feature). I have used the iron approximately 10-12 times since I received it. Although I haven't "drop tested" it yet, it appears to be tough enough. Good product!!!

Great Steam Iron

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do not like is as much as my previous one. They are the same brand and I thought I was getting the exact same one but disappointed that it is not!

Disappointed

I own 3 steam irons ....this is by far the best. The burst of steam is the 'bomb'. This iron is big and bad enough to handle all of my ironing needs. Would definitely recommend this product ....... you won't be disappointed.

The 'Best' for the money

This is an amazing iron. I love the cord management system, you can just roll up the cord and tuck it inside the compartment at the back. Irons great, amazing steam.

Amazing Iron

Just right

I have not spent this much on an iron in my life, but was fed up with the residue that gets stuck to less expensive irons. I have to say I am impressed - GREAT steam option, self clean option, and irons like a champ. It is a little heavy, but with all of the features it has I can understand why. Love it!

Love this iron

Good value and features for the money. Love the cord management system on this new model of the Durathon Iron. I anticipate many years of service from this quality Hamilton Beach product!

Great buy in an iron.

Doesn't get hot enough for me even on the high setting

This iron was purchased to replace a 25 year old GE steam/travel iron that had begun leaking around the soleplate - the little GE iron was/is much the better iron. The Hamilton Beach Durathon steam iron did not get hot enough to really remove wrinkles well, needed frequent refills when using steam - the water reservoir is small and the water level is difficult to see through the deep blue cover of the water reservoir. Having kept it past the return date, I just gritted my teeth and kept using it, but finally the limit of my patience with it, dug out my little steam iron and decided a bit of water leakage as I iron was preferable to an iron that doesn't heat well, etc etc. Maybe the GE will go for another 25 years.

Disappointing

Hamilton Beach Durathon Iron with Cord Wrap front-facing steam iron showing Durathon nonstick soleplate with steam vents, soft-grip handle and control dial, indicator light and spray nozzle visible, pull-out cord wrap storing the power cord and note of vertical steam and auto-shutoff features; often used for quick touch-ups on curtains or table linens.
