I received my new coffee maker and unboxed it. Impressed with packaging as it was secured and undamaged.
After reading the enclosed documents, I ran clear water through both the carafe and the single serve systems.
The I made my 1st cup using the Single-Serve ground coffee option which allows me to select the brand of coffee and to add a dash of salt with a dash of nutmeg. It made a great cup of coffee!
The clock time setup was straight forward and easily done.
I'm looking forward to using the "Delay Brew" feature so I can wake up to a freshly brewed coffee.
Overall, this "FlexBrew TRIO Coffee Maker" worked as described.

For most of my adult life I've used Hamilton Beach coffee makers. Two months ago my coffee maker died after 7 years. I replaced it with the FlexBrew 5-in-1. Single serve in front and pot on side. I was very excited because it was so narrow. Within two weeks the needle needed to be cleaned every few days and 1 1/2 months in the single serve does not work. The water does not go thru the pod so all you get it hot water. While I was very disappointed I still bought a new one today. It is the FlexBrew Trio. I hope this one lasts longer.

Mixed review

Love the brewer. Start my day with 4 to 6 cups in the brew pot and then will use the single serve for a milder brew late afternoon. Currently using k-cup pods for the convenience on single serve side but planning to use the insert for ground singles soon. I just wish the single serve water tank was a little bit larger as it needs a refill every 2 or 3 servings. Nice and steaming hot. Hotter than my now replaced Keurig machine. Love the bold setting for more intense flavor.

Great for the coffee addict

This machine has been great. The only issue I've found is the way you adjust the clock and timer are a bit different from what I'm used to and they can be sensitive and you end up having to wrap around again. The single cup use is good and if you have it set at 14oz and realize it will overfill you can just shut off the brew. Comes with a filter for the single use so you don't have to buy pods, but has an adapter to use pods as well. Design on the coffee pot is great, it pours really well. I've been using 5his

Great coffee machine for 1 cup or more.

Bought this coffee maker a month ago. Let' say that Im pretty satisfied.  The one big thing we don't like is, like the Keurig coffee maker, there's water left in the reservoir. Also the display does not lite up and the machine does not power off.

Perfect for us...

This coffee maker seems to be pretty nice so far. Used for a week now and it makes a pod coffee fairly fast. You can do 3 size cups - 8, 10, 14 - it will also do reg or bold choice for that. It comes with a pod holder to make a pod cup of coffee and a grounds pod type holder to use your own coffee and that has a fill line inside to NOT exceed that line. The cup holder also removes to place a travel cup. This cup holder also hides one of the pod or grounds pod underneath - good idea. The reservoir holds 40 ounces so it will make a large travel mug or a few 8 cup coffees.
The pot holds 12 cups and that water holder is huge and has steps inside to know what cup level you need. It uses the regular 8-12 cup basket filters. The basket does come out with ease to be able to clean it. Does NOT come with a permanent basket filter.  It does take a little time (about 8-10 min) to make a pot.   It will stay hot for 2 hours then shuts off. There are buttons on the face plate to decide if you want pods or carafe (pot), if pods then size and strength, It also has a clock and a delay timer to set it to wake up to coffee in a pot. You cannot set timer then try to use pods, you cannot set timer for a pod cup.  It's not to complicated to use. 
So far I like this maker. The only problem is that it is very big. Can't fit under my upper cabinets so I have a spot that has no upper cabinets. 
So the Trio is #1. 12 cup grinds pot,   #2. Keurig type pods,    #3. your own grounds single cup.

Nice but big

Today's purchase was for the same model machine as my prior purchase two years ago. I must admit that the new version of the same model is sub par, the water reservoir for the single serve pod is much smaller causing more frequent refills and the buttons are matte with no font color on them making the buttons extremely difficult to read without a flashlight compared to the previous version with silver buttons and black writing.  I'm underwhelmed compared to my last coffee maker of the same model purchased just two years ago.

Repeat Purchase

I loved it while it lasted, its now not working after 2 months, the single brew doesn't make coffee but drains into the carafe side. disappointing.

Hope its better than the Keurig' but its no better

Returned this product as it was defective.  When making a single cup, it would not make a proper sized cup of coffee.  Somehow, the brewing cycle would pump water into the reservoir for the carafe as well as some being pumped through the single cup pod.  We were not aware this was happening until it overflowed onto the counter.  Sent a request to Hamilton Beach for assistance through their website about a month and a half ago and still waiting to hear back from them.  Returned product to Walmart and purchased a similar Keurig machine which is working just fine.

Defective Product, poor Customer Service from man.

Had our first one for a year before it bit the dust. Had it semi warrantied and upgraded to this model. Lasted another year before it started spitting hot water in to the carafe reservoir. Can't make coffee on either. The second one is not warrantable as it was a replacement. Wont be buying anymore HB products.
