Offers flexible brewing options, but can be slow and prone to issues.

This is the second Hamilton Beach FlexBrew we have owned. It is a well-designed maker and is very easy to use. The only negative is that the first pod is not quite as hot as subsequent pods. However, it is fine for me--my wife would prefer the first pod brewed to be a little warmer.

I like the fact that you can brew a cup (with or without a k-cup) or a pot. I had the previous one for over 5 years and it was still work, although some parts had cracked with wear. Very durable product. Great price. I have recommended it to several people.

Hamilton Beach flex-brew is a great buy

I am on my 3rd one. The first one lasted me about 4 years then it had a leak under it where the individual water container connected. My next one lasted about 2 1/2 years, then the computer messaging for cleaning would never reset, and then it also started malfunctioning and not making the individual cup with the full amount of water. 
I am now on my 3rd one, but am waiting to use it as I am about to be moving. 
I have bought the 1st 2 at regular price, and this last one I bought on sale. 
Even with the minor issues after a couple years of use, I still find it to be a good purchase.

Second time I've purchased this coffee maker. After several years of use the glass pot cracked. A replacement pot would pf cost approximately $30.  A new maker costing less them $100. I thought a new coffee maker was a real value after ~1000 pots of coffee.

A real Value

We previously had a Hamilton Beach without the carafe.  We decided to the HB Trio and don’t regret it.  It looks great and works well.  The option to brew a full pot or one cup at a time is a huge plus.  If you only want one cup you can use a pod or coffee grounds.  It also fits a regular cup or travel mug, just remove the cup rest to give more space.  Unfortunately the cup rest wobbles, tried everything to make it more steady but it does not affect the function at all.

No regrets!

Though it is larger than my original coffee pot, I also had a Kuerig and with the both of them, they took up alot of counter space.  This is great to have the two in one feature.

Makes great coffee and the K-cup side also has a insert where you can use your own coffee instead of a K-cup.

Love it!

Two in one!

Love having the choice of using the carafe for up to 12 cups, or making individual k-cups.  The only negative is that the amount of ounces selected for K-cup volume is not consistent.  For example, when selecting 10 ounces, the amount of coffee will vary from one cup to the next.

Great price, dual use convenience, but not perfect

PROS -- This Hamilton Beach FlexBrew makes a great cup of coffee. I like that it will brew either a pot or a pod for a single cup. I've used Keurig and other pod single-cup coffee makers before, and some brands only recognize "official" pods. It's been a few years, so maybe they all accept all pods nowadays. But I've never had any problem using any coffee pods from any brand in this coffee maker.

CONS -- I bought this because we've owned Hamilton Beach FlexBrew coffee makers in the past and have loved them. ONE DESIGN FLAW with this one is that it's hard to tell how much water you've put in the tank for a pot of coffee. You could fill up the carafe to the desired amount and then pour it in the back of the coffee maker, but I don't wash my coffee pot every night, and I don't want to get any coffee residue in the tank that will then clog the water lines quicker than normal mineral buildup. So I use a separate water pitcher to fill the tank on the coffee maker. The older model of the Hamilton Beach FlexBrew had a translucent window on the side of the tank with markings so you could fill it up to the 4 - 6 - 8 - 10 or 12 cup mark. On this newer model, the markings are INSIDE the tank. The tank is black, and the markings are raised numbers, also molded out of black plastic, so you can't see them easily. I have to use a flashlight every time when I'm pouring the water in so I stop pouring water when it gets to the right mark.

ANOTHER PRO -- The tank for the single-cup side is removable so you can carry it to your sink to fill it up. It slides up and off the back of the coffee maker easily. Or you can just remove the lid and pour water in while the tank is still in place.

Great coffee - one DESIGN FLAW

It's not the same as the one that I had before. this one is very complicated. It said the carafe when I fill up the tank it's overflowed. It's not a good thing at all. The information are totally Wong. I'm not satisfied with that coffee maker. Not at all. it doesn't meet the requirement.

When you look at this product, you think that the display lights up it has a automatic shut off which it does, but if you’re on the K cup the K cup light stays on continuous or if you’re on the pot that stays on continuous. The display light doesn’t light up at all. You can barely see the time or how to choose the amount of coffee that you want. I will probably end up taking this back to Walmart because it’s not worth the $90 that I spent on it. Very, very disappointed in this product.

I am going to return this. The coffee pot is fine, not great, not terrible, just fine. The single serve side is terrible. It is always malfunctioning, blowing up pods, and just now I brewed a cold cup of coffee. There must be a malfunction on mine, maybe made at 4:00 on Friday.
