I had one that worked for about 4 years before it stopped working altogether. I liked it so much that I replaced it with one identical to it. I was simply going to repair the one that broke, but my wife insisted that I simply replace it, so that is what I did. No regrets.

Our last coffee maker didn't brew the coffee hot enough. By the time we added our liquid creamer our coffee was luke warm so we decided to buy another and picked this for its K cup option. We've been wanting to try  Cappuccino's etc. It has a "BOLD" option which seems to add about another 10 degrees to get more strength out of the coffee which lets me use about 25% less which is great. And i love the adapter to make it on the k cup side as it's faster for 8-14 oz amounts than the brew side. We've had it for a month now and only problem we've come across is my wife's travel mug won't fit under the pod/cup side. On the  plus side we noticed that when our electricity went off and came back on, it kept our program and time settings which i can't understand why as there's not a battery backup as far as we know.

Love this FlexBrew Coffee Maker!! It more than meets my expectations in flexibility as we can use not only the 12-cup and the k-cup but also uses pods or ground coffee in the single/mug side!!! It does take a little long to brew the 12-cups, though we use the programmable timer and it is ready when we get up, so no big deal!!! The carafe has an awesome (my husband calls it manly) handle that ensures confidence when picking up a full 12-cup pot. And finally, the carafe has a spout that is practically spill proof, which is great especially since most pots seem to run off to the side when pouring that first cup.

WOW! Love this FlexBrew Coffee Maker!!

This machine would be best bought by someone who has never owned an actual Keurig machine.  I house-sat for some friends that had one. I liked it, but  I like to return to a pot of coffee for warm-ups, which you cannot do with a Keurig machine.  I LOVE the flexibility this one offers.  There are a few cons, however.  If you are a former Keurig owner, you won't like having to add water for each cup.  While you can use a travel mug, you can't use more water, only the amount of water for a standard cup.  Trying to add extra water will get you an error.  I'm wondering if the bottom piercing device on the K-cup side may become a bit dull after a while. Former Keurig owners won't like having to "seat" a pod.  Perhaps it's that each manufacturer uses  different material, but some pop right in, while others can crush when attempting to seat them.  If there was a pod problem with the Keurig, only choice was to toss it.   My very favorite feature of this machine is the included single-serve filter basket that interchanges with the K-cup basket.  If I have pod damage, I just remove the seal and dump the contents into the single serve filter basket and continue.  Zero coffee waste!! I like being able to brew a single cup of my favorite morning coffee blend anytime. Mine was $79 dollars new and not refurbished.  The warming plate under the pot gets hot when the K-pack side is brewing.  I don't care for that, but only for the amount of time the K-cup brewer is on.  Over-all, I'm very happy with the flexbrew.  I still get to wake up to my pot-o-coffee and can do individual flavored coffee, hot chocolates or soups throughout the day. I can't wait until Autumn!   The only other drawback for me is that I like to set up the coffee maker for next morning's pot, once we are done with the current pot.  I can't go ahead and program it for the next morning if I plan to have any K-cup pods throughout the day. Water chambers are not separate.  I would absolutely recommend this to a Friend and I would buy another one.  In fact, I did.  I found a well used one at a thrift store for $9 bucks and it works great!...BOOM...spare parts just in case!  LoL  I even re-purposed my old spice carousel to hold my pods!

The Walmart page for this coffee maker indicated a price nearly half the original price. Later I found the higher price is more like the MSRP and the discount price is actually the going price at other outlets. 
There is no reservoir, you fill the cup/pod tank for each cup brewed. Same for the pot. It seems you can't brew a cup at the same time you have a pot of joe warming - the cup side will shut off the pot warmer.

It takes a bit of practice to get the controls right. Even after a few weeks I don't care for the control layout

It's not easy to make a cup of coffee anymore.

The carafe side makes a nice, hot cup of coffee. I did not have any of the issues with "plastic taste" that others had. My issue is with the single serve side. The temperature of the brewed coffee from the single side is warm, not hot. I have to put it in the microwave for about 20 seconds to bring it up to "hot". I checked the temp with a instant read thermometer, twice. Came out at 147 degrees and 154 degrees. H-B assured me that it comes out between 175 and 180. I thought that the unit might be defective. After much discussion, they sent me a replacement. Guess what? Same issue. Well, I guess I will continue to microwave the single serve for 20 minutes. It's an issue that I can live with. All in all, the coffeemaker is "OK", not great.

Lukewarm coffee

Single cup don't work .  When trying to fix a cuppa coffee the first couple times it worked but after that nothing but staying all the water you put in evaporates the regular coffee pot side works great not to mention  it is not meant for large coffee mugs adding water to the reservoir my only takes a small amount of water it's not worth the money the trouble or the headaches

Single cup don't work

I really wanted this coffee maker.  I wanted the versatility of a pot of coffee or a cup.  But the decision was made for me as soon as I got the machine home and tried it.  I don't even know where to start on this one so I'll go issue by issue:

1.  You have to have the coffee machine sitting in the middle of your countertop or sideways otherwise you are constantly moving it forward from under the cabinet for the ridiculous reason of putting  ONLY 1 cup of water in. Seriously you MUST put only exact about of water for 1 K-Cup serving or forget it. That alone makes this machine absurd.

2.  You have to set the coffee machine each and every time you want to make a K-Cup...it reverts back to the "grounds" setting every time.

3.  The plate where the glass coffee pot sits  gets hot even while making a k-cup so you need to keep water in it so as not to burn the bottom and/or break the glass pot from the hot plate it sits on.

4.  It's like waiting for paint to dry for the water to heat and actually spit out a single  k-cup of coffee.   I can clean my entire kitchen and put away the clean dishes from the dishwasher and it still won't be done. 

5.  Once you FINALLY get a cup of coffee be prepared to clean your countertop.  Not only does the coffee spatter everywhere (no matter size to-go mug or regular cup).  Additionally, the machine continues to leak water for sometime afterwards.  I had to leave a towel in front of it to soak it up.

6.  The smell of plastic in the machine where the water is put is terrible.

7.  While the coffee is hot, when the coffee comes out it tastes like plastic.  I threw that cup out and started again with a different brand k-cup and it really tasted like plastic.  I threw that one out too.

8.  When I went to empty the k-cup ... I pull  out a MELTED plastic k-cup.  No wonder the coffee tastes terrible! I attached some pictures below.

So, not only did it cost me the K-cups...I paid for gas to go buy it and then to go and return it the next day.   Do yourself a HUGE favor....and don't buy this machine.  Even if you aren't a regular coffee drinker you WILL be very disappointed in this coffeemaker.  What a shame...it has so much potential...but is so poorly designed and operational that I can't believe they are even still selling them.

Honestly....Don't Buy This Coffeemaker

I bought this product for its versatility but honestly the pod portion was more for our daughters when they came home from college for visits. This is where I am at fault. I didn't bother to buy pods to try out that side of the machine since they usually have their own preferred brands, so it was a couple of months before that side of the machine was utilized.  My husband and I use the full pot side. 

All worked as it should for about 3-4 times on the POD side before we started having issues. The steam apparently got so hot that it warped the plastic carrier/holder that it would not got into the machine without "pinching" the pod top making it useless. I contacted Hamilton Beach inquiring & to find out that I can purchase a replacement holder for another $10 plus $10 for shipping. Not happy but cheaper then replacing a $80 coffee pot. 

Once again, this time after about a dozen uses the plastic again became warped and "pinched" the pods and disbursed the water all over the machine and floor. After much finagling I managed to hold down the pod cup and get it in the machine without it pinching! That was the last cup of coffee I attempted to make with the POD side. Apparently, the water/steam backed up into the machine before disbursing warped the plastic water level and warped the cover to the coffee basket. The machine now reads it has more water in it than it does - this makes it impossible to use the SINGLE basket portion of the POD side because it will only allow so much water in the holder or it will not work and displays an ERROR message. You can see the maximum levels in picture 2. 

Since I am limited to only 2 pictures, I will assume you, the reader can visualize the warped lid on the full size basket portion. Picture 1 is the pinching, and two the frozen level reader.
