I read reviews for weeks before I bought it... I watched YouTube videos and really "knew my product" before purchasing it. After using it for a couple weeks I can say just a couple things...
1. DEFINITELY put a plastic shopping bag in the pulp catcher thing... It makes it SO much easier to clean up!!
2. The blade/strainer part is a pain in the you know what to clean.. I re commend hot soapy water and the nifty little scrubby brush instead of the dishwasher for sure!
3. It is LOUD and I mean LOUD... My husbands first thing to say was "dang that things loud" and he'd been working in his office on the other end of the house
4. Sweet potatoes and carrots make it "dance" as my children say.. It's a bit wild with those so I recommend you hold the top down with one hand and do the rest with the other.

This was a great choice for us and I am very happy with our buy!

only had it a month , not a hint of the horror stories of cleaning of juicers . I love it . I juice a gallon at a time . then put residue stuff ( skins and peels) and run that stuff thru my nutri bullet and waalaa no waste. because a lot of the vitamins and nutrients are in the skin/peel. I hope this helps someone.

This is a durable, good looking juicer. This a great value, the stainless steel basket is relatively easy to clean. The 800 watt motor provides a bit more tork than cheaper models. I juice everyday, two times a day, it handles produce very easily. I couldn't be happier with the price or its ability. I thought i might be disappointed that it only has one speed but i don't even notice the need for more speed.

Great value juicer

After watching several documentaries about the health benefits of juicing we decided to purchase one. After reading several (read hundreds) of online reviews about juicers that were way more expensive and some cheaper we decided on this one for the price. We could not be happier! This thing makes juice. The pulp that comes out is damp but not wet and the amount of juice is surprising. Clean up is a snap as it is mostly rinsing. The one thing I feel the need to caution people on is when putting things in the chute, especially small harder pieces they can shoot back up at you before you get the pusher back in.

All in all very happy with this product, glad I didn't spend hundreds of dollars on one.

Great Juicer for the price

This produce meets and exceeds all expectations. The wide mouth allowed me to fit several whole carrots into the juicer at one time! In the past I've spent tons of time cutting up veggies but this machine has cut that time in about half. I love the fact that it doesn't come with it's own cup because those are usually so small that you can't fit much juice into them; the space under the spout is even large enough that a 20oz glass can fit under it without much maneuvering. The juicer also seems to get a lot more juice than my old juicer; the pulp is much dryer and not much of it gets into the juice. The parts feel like quality and the brush that was provided with the juicer to help wash the parts is amazing. Only used this once so far but can't wait to use it again.

Best Ever!

I have used now for a few weeks and is my first juicer, but I like how easy it is to assemble and clean. a tip I received was to juice in a selection of soft, hard, soft, hard items, that way the harder items help wipe away the soft ones. Another thing is to wrap the smaller leafed up with a bigger leafed item - it seems to help with the process. Happy Juicing and stay healthy!

great performance

Cutting up your produce into smaller pieces say to 1/2 1/3 or1/4 their original size diminishes the stress on the strainer hardware. Using a plastic bag for the large pulp receptacle is a must for easier cleanup. Have soapy warm water ready and waiting to swish all dismantled parts except for the motorized base. Never submerge this base! Cleaning the strainer with its soft brush is easy. Gentle scrubbing with alternating submerging the strainer in the soapy water then rinsing will clean it nicely. You could air dry the strainer but I lightly press a paper towel on the strainer mesh to soak up any excess moisture to prevent any possibility of rust. Make sure all other parts are dry then reassemble with a paper towel in the pulp receptacle, a paper towel in the strainer and lastly a paper towel in the juice collection container. I always cover the juicer with a large plastic bag to keep it dust free and ready for my next juicing adventure. The sound is no noisier than a regular blender. I am happy with my purchase.

Excellent choice for a first time juicer

After trying 2 other juices (Nutribullet & Bella Coldpress Juicer) and returning them because I didn't think they did a good job juicing, I gave the Hamilton Beach a shot. Not only is it much cheaper but it does a great job juicing without leaving a mess and is fairly easy to clean even though there are 5 different parts to clean. It does leave a lot of pulp behind which means that you have to use more veggies/fruits just to get a decent amount of juice but I'm finding out that this is the norm with juicers.

The 1 thing I don't like about it is that the juicer cup is too small & is only enough to hold about 2 cups of juice before you have to pour it into a container so that you can continue juicing. I like to make enough juice for 3-4 cups so this shouldn't be a big deal for people juicing for just a serving. Another thing that may be an issue later on as it becomes older is that the parts are plastic (even though the base is stainless steel) and can look worn over time.

The Bella Coldpress was a nightmare to juice because hard veggies/fruits kept getting stuck in the presser and had to remove all the parts and pry them out with a knife. It also left a big mess to clean up.

Third juicer is a keeper!

This is the first juicer I've owned & ive had it for about a week. I've been juicing 2-3x a day. I wish the plunger didn't have a groove that has to be matched to go down because sometimes it's not lined up & food flies out & is messy. I also feel like most of the pulp gets clogged up on the top instead of ending up in the base. You have to clean it after every use so be ready to be doing dishes often. It's easy to assemble & seems to juice well for the most part. I can see myself buying a higher end one in the future if I keep it up.

Good starter.

During the first week this juicer was everything my daugter hoped it to be, but then it seemed to have more in the waste container than her glass. She returned it and was told that they had heard that complaint before. The girl in customer service was super nice which made the whole return process easy.

Worked great for the first week.
