I love how I am able to set it for trouble-free cooking.  There is no having to stand over anything while I'm fixing my meals.  This unit means business as it heats up.  Directions are easily followed, clearly written.  I have noticed that several cooks on tv are using Hamilton Beach too.

This was a gift for my daughter. She always wanted a crockpot with a timer since she saw the two I owned. She is very pleased with her gift and how beautiful it looks in her kitchen. She really enjoys the fact that she can set a timer and not have to use a stop watch.

Daughter Approve

I needed a larger slow cooker to replace the one I have had for at least 20 years.  They have “come a long way” in 20 years with lots of great  programmable options.  I love that it has a temperature probe to make sure meats are cooked to perfection.  The cooker is very easy to use.

Perfect purchase

I got this to replace our original Crock-Pot brand that had seen way better days. We LOVE this. We've been using it about twice a week for a month now. Everything about it is easy to use and I had no issues with shipping. Highly recommend

A Great Upgrade

Purchased as a second pot for Thanksgiving 2025 but goofed and ordered this one thinking it had a lock-lid which was priority. In my haste, got caught up with the defrost/cook feature overlooking the lid (insert palm to face emoji here, lol).

In hindsight, I should have focused on my priority, the lid. Since I WASH everything, the defrost-to-cook feature only works for frozen items I know will already be clean to my standards which are very old-school high. 

I have only used the pot once and my roast was perfect, everyone enjoyed. I look forward to future use taking advantage of the digital technology too include the temperature probe which will allow me to avoid removing the lid while cooking.

Being brand new, I would recommend based on first use, however, its about longevity as well as quality - I hope it pass muster. Time will tell.

Nice - But No Lock-lid Feature

It's lightweight and work's like it should be.  Now, haven't needed to use the defroster, or the temp probe, yet.  But, the temp probe should work just fine, and never cared to defrost anything with the microwave, or anything like that.  I have always done it the old fashioned way, by using the water soaking trick, or when cookin meat for pasta sauce's, just dumped it in the pan, and cooked it, as it defrosted.  But, for the price, and how it is pretty efficient, and the heater core is obviously much lighter than the older version's are, by almost half the weight.  The ceramic pot itself, is slightly lighter, as well, but not by much.  But, it hasn't burned anything, even though, I have only made thing's, like chili, or soup's in it.  So, I would recommend it, if you can afford it, and what you see in the picture, is what you get, as there is no storage cover, but if you have an older one, that is basically the same size, you can use the old cover for it, when you store it.  It got only 4 star's, simply because it doesn't have a manual digital temperature control for it.  Which, that is what I loved about our old one, as I could set the temperature to an actual precise temperature, instead of just "warm/low/hot", and the warm setting, does work well, with keeping it warm, without burning it, even chili...

Great budget slow cooker!

I had an old crock pot where it was heavy duty, the outside wasn't thin %26 cheap. It's hard to find anything like they used to make it. This does the job, has a ceramic insert you can take out but the outer part is thin %26 crappy. If I ding it on sum'n it's going to crinkle it with no effort. It's poorly %26 cheaply made the outer part.

I've used this twice since Christmas, the probe works fine on my pork roast. The second time I used it I barely clunked the lid and it shattered into little pieces into my meal. Luckily I hadn't thrown my old crock pot away so I used the old lid, though it doesn't have a hole for the probe
