Wanted to make a purchase that would make my life better.  This did.  What they advertise is true- because the door opens upward, the toaster oven stays cleaner as residues don't fall on door when opening to get food out or put it in.  Also, was a good value!

The Hamilton Beach Sure Crisp Air Fryer Toaster Oven, 6 Slice, Stainless Steel works perfect. I love it. It looks great and with one product I can do so many things. The air fryer works perfectly and so does every other part but I noticed a lot of people saying they had trouble with that part. It honestly made me nervous to buy it. I bit the bullet and bought it because we have so little counter space that 1 item that does several things is the best option for us. Well I am so glad I bought this. I made pizza rolls in the air fryer and they came out perfect and crispy like they are supposed to be. I love the roll top lid and feel it will help keep the door clean because our last toaster oven door got really bad fast and was impossible to clean. It comes with the bottom protector, an air fryer basket and cooking pan. I've not made a pizza in it yet but it has a rounded back to where a pizza should fit in it. I cannot say enough great things about this plus it's a great price. I have many Hamilton Beach products and I love them all but this has to be my favorite. I would buy again and again and would recommend it to everyone.

Awesome product

This was purchased to replace my previous Hamilton Beach toaster oven, that is about 10 years old.
It still works but it has trouble maintaining the temperature.  That oven had a convection feature.

The new oven is similar, and has a 5 year warranty!!!  They have improved the opening of the oven; the old one folding down and the new one moves up over the oven to open.  It may , however, be harder to clean the inside of the glass front of the oven. The new oven also has the crumb tray INSIDE the oven.  The old one had it underneath; I like that change, too

The new oven has an air fryer feature (instead of the convection feature).  It includes a fryer basket. to use with that feature.  I have only tried to air fry once, with minor success.  We cooked frozen steak cut fries in it.  I think that, in spite of following instructions on the back of the bag of fries, it may work better with a higher than suggested temp (the bag actually had specific air fryer cooking instructions for the fries).   I think that I may be able to use the air fryer feature like a convection one in the case of some foods.  I'm anxious to try air frying again.  My concern is that use of the fryer basket, if any oil at all is added to cook foods, will create a cleaning nightmare inside the oven,  Time will tell!!!!!!

Love this replacement!

This little oven is great! It arrived two days early, and I've only had time to use it once so far but I used the air fryer for French fries. They were done to perfection in record time. I love it! I would have given 5 stars except I feel there is always room for improvement, though I haven't found anywhere yet. I definitely recommend it!

I love it ! ! !

This a great Toaster/Oven.  Love the Air Fry feature and roll back door!  Toaster feature not as good as the Bake, Broil or Air Fry settings.  2 items that could be improved... fry basket has very rough edges and instructions on the timer for the Stay On feature should say "turn counter-clockwise".

Great Toaster/Oven

I wanted something mostly for toasting and occasionally baking simple things.  It toasts pretty evenly though I do have to rotate things if I want it perfect.  Has done well baking small pizzas and burritos.  It does toast/bake quickly, so I wouldn't recommend turning it on ignoring it until the timer dings (which I'd say is true of any oven or toaster).  Really like the how the door opens up and stays out of the way.  I didn't really need the air fryer feature, and have yet to test it, so can't comment on that.  The toaster is a nice size for what I need.  Even on the highest rack height there's enough space above it to move around (little over 3.5 inches).  Overall the oven does the job I need it to do, and it was reasonably priced.  It's definitely an upgrade from the 4 slice Black and Decker toaster oven we had before.

Pretty good toaster

I bought this air fryer toaster oven after reading a ton of reviews. I had been looking at Cuisinart and Breville but I didn't want to spend the money right now.  I didn't buy this oven to toast bread or bagels so I can't comment on that. The initial step of burning off the smell was easy but be aware that it is a HORRIBLE smell.  I opened the window and put on the oven fan and it helped get rid of it.  I stayed around in case anything might have happened. No issues.  
Things I like: size, cooking time, and air fry basket. I do love how well it bakes and air fries. I have reheated pizza on low bake, baked the ‘bake and take' loaves from Hannafords, air fried frozen chicken tenders and everything has come out well. I did shorten the time for air frying by a few minutes and checked a piece with a thermometer and they were cooked. Not dry or chewy.  No smoking.  I did notice that it does “burn” parchment paper so I don't recommend using it.  
I don't mind the ticking of the timer. It doesn't bother me nor does the bell when it's done.   Actually makes me remember that I'm cooking when I'm in the other room doing something else.  I don't have to increase the tv volume that's in the other room about 10-15 feet away.  Fits well under my cabinets when not in use. Plenty of clearance.  I love the rubber feet on it too.  I just pull it forward like I do my toaster when using.  It cools down quickly.  I haven't touched it when it's cooking so I can't comment on that.

I will say that I think the baking pan or sheet is very cheap and thin.  I've covered it when cooking and it quickly acquired marks on it like I have used it for years. I'll be replacing it. It easily warps as well.  

I'm still getting used to the roll top opening, but not a problem.  I think the wire rack moves too easily when trying to remove the baking pan .  I need to hold it.  So far, I'm happy very with this purchase. It's inexpensive, the right size for my needs, and does what I bought it for.  I'd buy it again if I needed another one.

Happy with this air fryer toaster oven!

To start with my likes: I like how the appliance looks. It bakes well and is incredibly convenient when I don't want to heat the house up with my large oven. However, the air fryer function is a bit disappointing. It seems like I have to continually add time to any air fryer recipe, sometimes doubling or more. Additionally, some recipes call for specific temperatures. You will have to guess your temp if your recipe calls for a degree between those listed on the knobs.

On the fence

As a toaster, it works okay. Bread is much closer to the bottom burner, so for an even toast, you'd need to flip it part way through. As an air fryer, it doesn't cut it. This works nowhere near as well as a dedicated air fryer though that isn't surprising. It will be handy to have for toaster oven type functions, but if you're looking for an air fryer or toaster, you'd be better served with a purpose built appliance.

Just okay. Price is right.

highly disappointing,  have had the oven since may, i was cooking pot pies in it and after only 5 minutes both items started getting very dark and the parchment paper was burned to a dark brown. if i hadn't been checking, there was a good chance there would have been a fire. don't think i will buy hamilton beach again
