I bought this halter in regular horse size for my new OTTB and was worried it wouldn't fit her small feminine head. Well it fits like a custom show halter, and the color is a beautiful deep navy and the brass hardware is sturdy and bright. I LOVE this halter, will definitely buy again!!!

Awesome Fit, Color & Quality

SmartPak

Bought this to use at shows (not ready to spring for a leather one just yet) and it just looks so nice - esp. nice touch is the prominent brass tab on the end of the buckle - doesn't show up so well in the ad but really dresses up the halter. Soft but sturdy nylon. Appears well made made but only used it for one show so far.

Looks so nice!

Hamilton Halters have always been a good product. When these were reduced in price I ordered two! Waldo is a bit destructive with equipment, but I have noted that he can't do this with these halters. I also don't have to worry about the hardware on these either. These really last. Thank you Smart Pak for carrying this brand 

Almost Waldoproof!

This is my absolute favorite halter brand out there.  Durable, simple, and very classy, I'd highly recommend purchasing.   I absolutely love the quality of these things, and they look great on just about any horse!

My Favorite Halter

This is a great purchase. Even though I didn't buy it from SmartPak, I wish I had because their shipping is cheaper and the price is cheaper! The Navy looks AMAZING on him!! Love the solid brass hardware. Really stands out beautifully on the navy. Before you buy a really cheap halter that you will probably haved to replace, get this! you won't be dissapointed!

Long Lasting and Gorgeous!!

I bought this for my 17.1hh Appendix in the largest size they had, even though he has a petite head. I've always sworn by Weaver nylon halters but the hardware on them often chips and the color eventually fades so I was looking for something new. When it came in the mail I was sure it would be too big but it fits perfectly and is very adjustable depending on how you like your halter to fit. I bought it in the Wine color and it is beautiful! In the month I've had it, the color has stayed and there is no sign of chipping or anything with the hardware. However, the halter stays inside and he hasn't been regularly bathed in it yet.....I bought this halter because of it's affordability and the reviews of fellow smartpakers...hoping it lives up to the hype and continues to last! Very impressed so far.

Beautiful and Great for the Price

I bought this halter two months ago and it's still holding up great. I ordered the cob size and it fits my horse well. I leave it hanging on the fence, so it's out in the weather 24/7 and it's still in good shape, and the color (hunter green) hasn't bleached out very much at all. I also like that the holes are reinforced too just in case my horse decides to test it.

Great Halter

I purchased this for my draft cross and it did not fit so I returned that is why I gave it to four. The odd thing is I have the exact same halter in large and it fits my horse that is why I ordered this in a large – I would say the sizing is inconsistent.

Large halter too small

I bought two of these halters, one for my warmblood yearling and the other for my thoroughbred mare. The cob size fit perfectly for my yearling, leaving room to grow. But the horse size was too small for my mare, who I always thought had a dainty head. It fit her but it was too close to her head, leaving no breathing room. I don't want her pretty face to get rub marks!! I love the halter though, well made and very pretty colors. I will be buying a bigger one for my mare and another for my new project!

Nice halter

I have been trying to buy a nylon halter with a clip release under the throat for my 16.2hh TB.  He doesn't have an oversized face but every horse sized brand I try can only be fastened on the very last (loosest) hole.  This one fit nicely in all other areas but once again was just too tight across the poll / cheek.  I'm still looking for a solution but Smartpak processed my return and credit quickly and promptly, as always.

Weird fit

I am sad to say that after just 3 weeks of use, this halter broke when I pulled on it. The horse didn't do anything crazy, just stopped and didn't want to walk forward. So, I pulled and after about 3-4 seconds of a steady hard pull, the throat latch broke. It was only held together with a dab of glue and a few stitches.
