I have purchased most of Hanayama's level 6 puzzles and was able to solve most of them within a few hours. I had seen some pretty good reviews for this Vortex puzzle so I decided to purchase it even though I figured it would be too easy for me. Boy was I wrong! I've worked on this puzzle on and off for the past couple of weeks and still haven't solved it yet. Every time I think I've made a breakthrough move, it ends up going back into the original shape. I am sometimes a little disappointed when I solve a puzzle quickly because I feel like I haven't gotten my money's worth. I am definitely satisfied with the purchase of the Vortex. I highly recommend this puzzle. Just remember, as with all Hanayama puzzles, there is never a reason to "force" a move as this can cause the pieces to "lock up".

This should be a level 6 puzzle!

Hanayama puzzles are fun to fiddle with by yourself or to share fidgets with friends and family. Keep them in a pocket, drawer, car or pack them in a suitcase. Choose from a variety of level 1-6 puzzles that will keep you engaged to improve eye-hand coordination.

Great Family Gift

Great interlocking puzzle. Hard to learn and then you still have to really watch what you are doing or you will mess up which takes quite awhile to fix.

Nice product

This puzzle is not worth owning.  It jambs, making it impossible to get any type of enjoyment out of the puzzle.

poor design

This puzzle is a extreme nightmare even doing this puzzle while watching the video solution. Yes INDEED the puzzle difficulty of level 5 is extremely underrated. If i had to give it a rating from one to 6 id probably give it a level difficulty of 10, meaning a puzzle far beyond being a nightmare!

I actualy find a lot of Hanayama puzzles rated as a 6, 100 times easier than this nightmare!

So definately buyers beware if you want a extreme challenge this is the puzzle for you, you might end up throwing it away though as its EXTREMELY easy to get things jammed up into something you cannot get apart without physically bending the pieces and damaging the puzzle!!
